You turn away from the deadite and start pounding your feet into the dirt as fast as you can. He quickly follows in hot pursuit.

You can hear him curse your name as runs behind you. He swings the chainsaw at your back but you are too quick for him.
You instinctly dodge weeds, trees, rocks and other objects in your way. You move with rhythm and speed as you make your way to the bridge.

As you reach the, still intact, bridge you look behind you and notice the deadite still in chase.

You blast out onto the semi-sturdy scaffold and look for a weapon of any kind to use.

As you stop in mid sprint you slam your foot into the bridge and it breaks right through- shooting the other half of the wood in the air.
You catch the board and immediately bring it about to use as a weapon.

The deadite stops dead in his tracks right in front of you. As you threaten him with the board he slices it right in half.
Without hesitation you impale the wood you have left into his rib cage. In a moment of pain he screams and drops the chainsaw. You dive for it as he yanks out the board in him.

You grab the chainsaw and roll back to your feet. The deadite charges and you slice off his arm. As you go for a second slice the deadite kicks you in the shin and then clubs you across the face.
You go to lay the deathblow on him with the chainsaw but he tackles you before you get the chance.

He rams into your gut and forces you to the side of the bridge. He slams you through the wooden side and the both of you fly over the side of the bridge!

Your feet are taken out from under you as you and the deadite both fall over the side. You let go of the chainsaw and it falls into the murky depths below. You grab onto what's left of the bridge at the last second to save your ass.

You're hanging onto the side of the bridge for your life. You look over to your right to see your deadite opponent in the same predicament, 'cept he only has one arm.

You hear the cracks, you feel the rumbling, and you realize the truth: the whole bridge is collapsing.

You need to do something quick!

Pull yourself up and run for land!

or

Look and see if your rope bridge is still up.
