Phoenix Foundation
The privately owned organization the Phoenix Foundation is where Peter Thornton and MacGyver both work (until the last episode, when MacGyver left). More of a "think-tank" then anything, it's main goal is to right the wrongs in the world.
Because it's not government owned, it's sometimes called upon when the government needs something done unofficially. The Phoenix Foundation will also do other things, including getting immigrants out of other countries, witness protection programs, and programs to help set teens straight.
