Peter Thornton
Peter Thornton (Dana Elcar) is one of MacGyver's best friends. Entering in the second season, he is the Director of Field Operations at the Phoenix Foundation. Originally meeting MacGyver while on assignment chasing Murdoc, they instantly became good friends, and great partners.
In the later seasons, Pete (he doesn't like Peter) came down with glaucoma, which gave Peter a challenge at his job. As of the last episode, he still had both.
Peter is divorced with one child.
