One may even describe Penny Parker (Teri Hatcher) as air headed; she could always talk your head off! Penny (not her real name as she said - but she neglected to mention her real name) always tried to make it as an actress, yet her career never took off. But, she never did quit.
She originally met MacGyver while he was on assignment in another country. She was dating a government official in that country and he gave her some jewels. Penny, not wanting to give them back, shoved them in Mac's pockets without him knowing! To make a long story short, they both got caught, resulting in MacGyver MacGyverisming his way out of it!
