MacGyver
MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson), the star of the show, is a master of fixing things. He can fix almost anything, anywhere, with anything! His great resourcefulness also helped him in those tight areas, where he usually found himself each episode. Because of his hatred of guns (from a childhood experience in his home state Minnesota where one of his friends was shot and killed), he finds himself using other weapons - mainly his mind. Armed with nothing but a Swiss Army knife, he'll make up some amazing concoction out of almost nothing to get himself out of the tightest situations.
Later episodes found Mac (as his friends called him) dealing with more serious matters, such as Pete's blindness, the environment, and teenage runaways (he usually found himself at the Challenger's Boys and Girls Club).
By now you're probably wondering what MacGyver's first name is. His name was revealed in the last season in a dream sequence, where it turned out to be Angus. MacGyver did know his first name - he just didn't like it!
As of the last episode, the only family MacGyver has living is his son, Sean "SAM" Angus Malloy, and MacGyver is not married.
