June 19th, 2001 - Blittersoft releases iFusion 1.3.0 patch for Amiga Owners

We are pleased to announce the availability of V1.3.0 of iFusion.

This version enables sound on the emulation.

There are three update patches available at the Blittersoft website iFusion section (www.blittersoft.com) to update the three current CD releases (V1.0.0, V1.0.1 and V1.2.0).

You will need to have your original CD mounted to patch your program.

Also required are the Mac sound extension (NWEAudio) and revised drivers,
all available for download.

Please note that we are also in possesion of the latest Picasso96 update that corrects all screen split problems when used with iFusion. We are unable to make this available as it is beta, but the Picasso96 team should be releasing this update soon. We were able to run iFusion with Voodoo III and Prometheus using this new patch.

Also note that the asyncio.library is no longer required by iFusion.

Thanks to Jim/Joe for this update! :-)

Regards,

Paul Lesurf

June 9th, 2001 - Microcode announces the PowerPC plug-in card.

Microcode Solutions seeks software developers and beta testers for PowerPC plug-in card.

June 9th, 2001 - Today, Microcode Solutions received our first working prototype PowerPC board. This concludes nearly 4 months worth of design and negotiations.

The board plugs into your PC, Amiga, or any other PCI based machine, and uses a high speed PowerPC processor with two RAM sockets, allowing up to 1GB of RAM to be placed on the board!

Microcode Solutions has numerous projects in development for this board, and is seeking software developers to complete some of these projects. We also have a business plan for the development of many products for this board, by 3rd party developers, as their own products. Basically, Microcode Solutions would be handing out product ideas that will be huge successes, at no charge. There are just so many things that this hardware is capable of doing, that Microcode Solutions doesn't have the time to write all of the software AND handle developer technical support, at the same time. Microcode Solutions plans to make their money in the sales of the hardware, and will be offering boards and direct technical support for free (to those developers and companies that qualify).

Microcode Solutions is looking for qualified beta testers for this board. Beta testers must be in the U.S.A. (no exceptions), and must sign a multi-page confidentiality agreement. Microcode Solutions is looking for beta testers with extensive experience in Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and MacOS. Experience with BeOS and Linux is a plus.

If you are interested in developer information, please contact Jim Drew via email: [email protected]

If you are interested in becoming a beta tester, please send a summary of your computer experience, what system(s) you have, and how much time you can devote to beta testing to: [email protected]

May 23rd, 2000 - FUSION PC Sold to Emulators, Inc.

Microcode Solutions Licenses FUSION-PC 68K Macintosh Emulation Technology!

On 5/23/2000, Microcode Solutions licensed its 68040 Macintosh emulation technology to Emulators, Inc. This in no way affects our customer support for FUSION-PC customers. All technical support questions concerning FUSION-PC should still be directed to Microcode Solutions.

Microcode Solutions will release a stand alone iMac emulation called, "iFUSION". Customers that purchased FUSION, and were to receive a discounted price based on their purchase date/price will still be able to do so.

Let's face it, we're in the year 2000 and we need Power PC support. Microcode Solutions' own programming pride has been standing in the way of development of our iMac emulation. We have spent too much time refining an already superior product, and it was time to let it go.

We are now focusing all of our resources on the completion of our Amiga PowerPC emulation, which will enable a quick release for the PC platform.

The license of our 68K emulation technology is beneficial to everyone. Microcode Solutions is not leaving the Macintosh emulation scene, we are advancing it to the next level....
