12.23.99- ...and the funny part is after he left I realized 'wait a minute, i dont even have a rectal thermometer'...but anyway brett derek walsh has some kick ass news about our split compact disc. After going through about a hundred bands the split with be made with late local legends the Simpletons. Now they played their last show in June with Value Pac but had some songs recorded for an album that was to come out had they not broken up, so were sort of bringing back the Simpletons from the dead. Kind of like the Beatles Anthology. Anyway I think its really cool and I for one would have bought the Simpletons new cd even without us which I figure is how most of our sales will be dictated. Anyway the cd should be out sometime in the next two months depending on how much we decided to get our asses moving. Were like the pitcher to Mark McGwire 62nd. Theres your SAT analogy practice for today. Well I suppose that will be it for the news. Oh, please start thinking about buying Mitchell patches and stickers for your loved ones this holiday season or any season forthcoming for that matter because we need all the money we can get to help get this record out. Who knew being in a band was so expensive? Well I guess everybody, huh. Oh well. Gas up the plane Judith cause I'm takin off.

11.28.99- Reporting live from Mike Strand's house (who has coincedentally entertained himself with making the little news noise on his electronic keyboard) Well 'tis a sadder day in New Port Richey fore the Embarrassing Wrecks' genius will not be heard, oh no not once, on the latest Mitchell release. They didnt want to do a split it seems but did give us a very nice compliment and are still rad as hell.So now were exploring our options: go back and record more songs and do it alone, find another band for a split, cry and break up, turn to a life of crime, murder our neighbors and steal their boots, eat pencil shaving and move to a shack in Montana and refuse to change our underwear for the rest of our respective lives in which we talk only to our cats. Well probably pick one of the first choices, but well keep the news flowing and the babes...umm..disgusted.

11.17.99- Hey ladies! Christopher "Mono" Belt has gotten himself a job at a recording studio which is some badass mothertrucking shite because now we can record free of monetary exchange meaning 1) we can put out as much garbage sloppiness as we can take and 2) well thats pretty much it. Were going to use this oppourtunity to redo some of the vocal tracks on Homegirl before we release the CD since they sound like trash and some parts were mysteriously ommitted. So anyway thats that. Once all thats well and good I guess you can expect the CD out soon after. We still are debatingon a name and design and layout and all that and I just ate some Chinese food from Mr. Wok and am farting like a madman. What else for news? No shows for these hos. Someone needs to ask us to play somewhere. Private parties baby we love em. Go for it dont be shy. When the CD comes out you can expect a killer release party with some rad bands at CSP and stuff. I just noticed how hi-tech my underwear is. Were working on some new material. Blah blah blah Mitchell is stupid. OK, I'm spent.

11.6.99- My good buddy and bass wizard Chris Belt has made us some MP3and got hooked up with MP3.com and whatnot so listen to some of the songs from our rock and roll EP and love it.Go to the sounds page for more info-mation, darlin'.

10.31.99- Dude! We went studio today and it was cool as hell. The songs sound really good and those Studio 420 guys are nice as nice can be. The studio was awesome. It was like an old house that they converted and I went to the bathroom and found out thats where my guitar amp was which was kinda weird. But I got to sing in a booth and it was really cool. So anyway since our whole CD only lasts 8 minutes and 9 seconds were going to release the session as a split with the greatest band ever to come out of New York, the Embarrassing Wrecks. Their songs will kick our ass but oh well. So anyway buy that and stuff. Thats all for now I suppose...Show at Rockets was fun as butt thanks to everyone that came out. Anyway thats all.

10.13.99- News? You bet! On October 31st at 12:00 PM, Brett, Chris, and Mike (collectively known as Mitchell!) along with producer and hunk Mike Carey will be at Studio 420 in Tarpon Springs recording the badass mothertrucking 3 song (maybe 4) ep "Girls Smell Pretty"!!! Yay! So anyway thats that, its a done deal and the CD should be out no later than December. I dont know I dont wanna set a date cause I really have no damn clue how long this stuff takes so..The covers pretty cool its not done yet but keep checking the message board cause Ill prolly post some pictures of it on there or something. OK! No more news..Looks like were playing Rockets after all though so come watch us rock the casbah and whatnot. New Port Richey Punk for life.

10.5.99- "Hey Brett, whats going on with Mitchell?!?!" Wrote a song about it, like to hear it here it goes: First of all, the deal with '1.21 Jigga, What?': "Hey Brett, whatever happened to '1.21 Jigga, What?' Well things were going good and we had it all planned out in the beginning of the summer but as it turned out the place we were recording at was "inoperable" until after the summer and we've decided now that its not worth it so whats going on NOW is sometime soon (was supposed to be this weekend, Im not sure anymore. Might get pushed back another week) we're shelling out the cashmoney to go into the mothertrucking studio to record a 3 song CDEP slash 7" tape, 8-track, musicbox dishwasher whatever that will feature Homegirl, The Brightest Stars Are Airplanes, and Jaguar Pride. Were still tossing around (that sounds so hip) ideas about a name but uh thats what coming up next or what the kids call "the dilly, yo." Next thing, shows. Played a show last Friday. Got pics from it on the pics page. Rocking good time. Got two more left in October..one in good ole New Port Richey at a place called Rockets with our boys Sardonic. Although I'm not sure if were gonna make it depending on what time we have to play because that is the night of Chris and Mike's Homecoming Dance. I have two baseball games that day too. Hooray for me. Then were supposed to play at Rene's Halloween Party except now that I think about it thats my Homecoming night too. Shit. Oh well this news sucks. Nothing to write about but I dont care. Well actually I do cause Im out of stuff to say.

8.29.99- Is it a coincidence that I left town first thing after the show on Friday? I think not. We sucked ass but oh well. Chalk it up to nerves and not being able to hear a damn thing but things will get better. hey first show that wasnt a party. yahoo for that. yahoo for me. yahoo for school. i miss having that movie in my home. anyway, my Mitchell is for the ladies patch mysteriously got taken off of my backpack and sold at the show. NOT COOL. lets see what else...oh it turned out that like completely different bands showed up to play and they were shitkicking awesome. dropzone from new jersey was killer poppunk teenage punk, the overdrives from pennyslyvania were rad, they sounded like bigwig/cooter and i was kinda upset that no one stuck around to see these guys cause they rocked harder than we did for sure. i noticed a lot of flashes going off when we were playing so hopefully well be getting visual captain. we filmed the whole thing and it turned out to be a pretty funny tape. i got my ass kicked more times than i wouldve liked that night too. anything else? oh we didnt get paid. no money left for the New Port Richey thugs. its all good though we really didnt deserve much. the show was pretty expensive too im sorry to the kids that had to pay 6 damn dollars to see us suck. i was one of those kids too. my wallet got sucked dry since i paid for like 3 kids to get in with my own damn money. well no my moms damn money. we got free water. and i took the 1.75 we made on patches and blew it all on video games. i kicked rachels ass at virtua racer. i think we might be playing there again soon maybe the halloween fest thing i dont know gotta talk to them. in november theres a good chance we wil be opening for C*!%&r and G*#^@r P@$%l (Chris didnt want me to mention this in case it didnt work out) when they stop by so ill prolly shit my pants on stage ill be so scared of fat wreck chords employees kicking my ass cause im not cool enough. if theres more news i think of ill come back and write more but for now im done.

8.12.99- We are playing at Central Skate Park on the first Friday of the 1999-2000 school year as (finally) a high school band! Wooo!! If your reading this and you live anywhere near Clearwater you need to come see the Mitch in action. Save up your pennies, roll some quarters, ask your mom for six bucks and come fawn over us. Then when were done playing tell us how good we did and well appreciate your goodnatured fibs. Im going to sleep now.

7.17.99- Well Mitchell is kinda slow these days. Were supposed to play show tonight but found out its next Saturday but funk dat cause next Saturday is Independents Fest (30 Foot Fall, Bigwig, Gob, FYP, Diesel Boy) so you can kiss it goodbye. I dont know Im really lazy right now and dont feel like typing anymore. I just wanted write something sincethe last update was in June. So were still alive if anyone cares. Played another Hurricane Mitch/ Suburban Slackers show at Melissa's. I played drums in Suburban Slackers and rocked the house in. Since it was Hurricane Mitch we obviously had no drummer os that sucked bad. OK, that all.

6.12.99- Brett and Mike played a suprise house show last night as Hurricane Mitch since we played without Chris who was out of town . We were like Local H, just drums and guitar. Had a fun time, played through our set without hearing a damn thing since we didnt bring our own amps. We used the magical amplifiers of Suburban Slackers the funniest band I have ever seen in my life. I wet myself many a time. Number 2!!!!!

5.31.99- Well its almost summer and that means were getting ambitious. Its that time again to freak out and say were recording, making stickers, and trying to get booked at some tight shows, bro. Which we are. We recorded this weekend. Things went alright. Double-O-Dork came out really nice. The other songs however will be worked on more in the next few weeks. I wrote a brand new song tonight which no one else knows about right now not even Mike or Chris. Its sweet. So come see us this summer buy some stickers and throw Brett your underwear.

5.12.99- I got some news on the Mitchell demo. Were practicing to record an 8 song tape of our goofy songs. I guess it's gonna be called "1.21 Jigga, What?" from Back to the Future and Jay-Z (our two biggest influences.) I think Chris' emo band has a name now. It's either George Glass or the Misadventures of George Glass. It's from the Brady Bunch (Jan's imaginary boyfriend). Chris is George Glass to so many girls. What that means I dont know. Work is being done on the new Mitchell High. They named it after us. Oh! All the news that fits is from Rolling Stone magazine. Well, its 7:30 and an all new Dawsons Creek is but half an hour away so I must depart and prepare for my beloved teen drama.

4.21.99- If you like Mitchell (which is prolly a longshot) then you should check out two new bands featuring Mitchelleers. First off, the brand new One Ahead featuring me (Brett), Dave from One Step Ahead (from da start foo'), and Kyle and Tyson from A Day Late. We're badass. Ive written two song in OSA. Anyway, also check out Chris' (and I think Mike's too) emo band with Marc Roppollo and Jeremey Jones (former member of One Step Ahead, who isnt?). I dont know if they decided on a name yet. Strangle Boy or Playing the Field or something. Regardless theyre emo as fuck. hehe. To the core. I'm a little upset with the results of the popularity poll out there on the front page. I'm not doing so hot. Im an American sex symbol for Christ sake. C'mon. Someone could sign the message board once in a while too dammit. Bitch bitch bitch. Peace Im outta here

4.18.99- Were actually starting to make shirts. I have one on right now. Theyre badass. Tell us you want one and you can be cool too. Umm were trying to get a show in May with a very popular band that probably work out so that why I'm not gonna say who since it would start a whole bunch of rumors and if we ended up not playing I'd get a beat down.

4.2.99- We played a great show at Crews Lake Park. I felt like such a rock star with all the wrist bands and having to sign the band and "friends of the band" in on the list. I love playing stage shows. We played really good and were really funny. Rich from Harry Dash said we had a great "attitude." But alas, Magnetic Trigger took the cake. It couldnt have gone to better kids though (besides us hehe). Them are some nice boys. I love em. So much love. Tim gave me a kiss after they announced they won. Thats why Im partial. Hehehe. But anyway theyre great. Jonathon one of the guitarists was like "everyone here is getting on the demo some way you guys came all they way down here." Talk about nice as hell. Well I could talk about them all night long and how much I love em but Im gonna stop.

2.21.99- You know I wonder if anyone really reads this or goes to this site besides me. I mean who the hell am I writing this for? Anyway I know theres some parts of this site that havent been updated in forever like the pictures part where I think the most recent thing in that collage is like over a year old so gimme some time to fix that and you'll..have...that..there...yeah. Anyways, since I barely ever go to anywhere on this page since I already know what were doing if you see something gay or out of date gimme an e-mail at [email protected] (speaking of out of date) or call me and yell at me. That should do it. I gotta go do some damn homework. Math sucks.

2.6.99- We're planning to play a bunch of more shows within the next two months I guess. You know whats cool? All these kids that used to hate us are like "You guys rock!" and I feel like I'm in the Wu-Tang Clan and everyone likes us. 15 minutes and counting.

2.1.99-I just got the boot from One Step Ahead. They got Steve Gray to play lead and maybe Jason to play vocals. Thats it.

1.31.99- The Jan. 30th show went really well. Great crowd, good fun. Four squad cars. Yep. We called called on and had to move the show inside which actually was good cause we played real well in there. A lot of the kids there liked us so that was good. I (Brett) will now also be playing with our homies One Step Ahead due to their guitarist Tim's departure. Jeremy Jones will also be joining OSA. Dont worry though, I not leaving Mitchell (Even though Epitaph's all over OSA). Were making stickers and buttons sometime in the next few weeks. We taped the show so some of that'll go on the Little League Video Comp. I'm writing a pretty crappy review/news thing and I'm not telling about any of the cool stuff that went on Saturday but too bad. OK I'm gonna quit now.
