That's one off the most interesting things to explore as an actor-- to see a character separated from all the people he trusts and relies on , then to be put back together again. Q: How does their relationship change? Dom: I think there's a bond between them, because they know how much the Fellowship went through to save the Shire. But I don't think Merry ever talks to Pippin about what he has been through because it's so terrible. Merry is directly confronted with death, and it scars him. He sees people die-- people he loves and cares for and tries to protect. Billy: Pippin's the same when the fellowship loses Gandalf at Moria. Gandalf's almost like a god to Pippin. I supposes it would be like losing a parent when you're very young. dom: The final movie is going to break people's hearts. All the Fellowship are crushed, chewed up and ultimatly spat out the other side.
