Here is a photo from above to see the amount of space there is between her and the overhead shield, which is very far to the front of her, and yet in the closest position possible on this seat. I do not consider this acceptable for a young baby. Too bad, because the lowest slots are a decent height for small babies. By the way, Nyssa is in the 2nd to the bottom slots here /-§§-/ Voici une photo prise du dessus, où on voit en avant d'elle, qu'elle est très loin du bouclier, et pourtant c'est à la position le plus près que possible sur ce siège. Je ne considère pas ça comme étant acceptable pour un petit bébé. C'est dommage puisque les trous pour le harnais qui sont les plus bas sont très bas ce qui est bien pour un tout petit bébé. De toute façon, évidement le modèle avec le harnais en 5 points est plus sécuritaire.

Here is Sandrine in the Titan-I carseat. Sandrine is just over 3 and weighs around 26 lbs. She could use the 2nd to the top slots, but I put them in the top slots to show how it looks. I admit I had a hard time getting the harness to loosen/tighten for a long time every time I fooled around with this seat, until I realized that the little yellow tab you have to pull on for the harness release is not to be pulled out to the front of the carseat, but rather up towards the ceiling/sky, because it pulls on a metal tab like the older Evenflo seats had, so this is the only way it truely releases. After that, loosening it was much easier. Tightening is still tricky, but by pulling on the harness straps at the back of the seat, it's only a tad harder than a Touriva, which while it isn't a Roundabout, is "do-able". /-§§-/ Voici Sandrine dans le Titan-I. Sandrine a un peu plus que 3 ans et pèse environ 26 livres. Elle pourrait utiliser les trous qui sont les 2ième plus hauts, même face en avant dans ce siège-ci (c'est un des exceptions...) mais j'ai mis le harnais dans les trous les plus hauts pour montrer à quoi ça a l'air. J'avoue que c'est très difficile à ajuster la tension du harnais avec ce siège. Il faut vraiment tirer la gance jaune vers le haut, vers le plafond/le ciel, parce que ça tire sur une barre en métal comme les sièges Evenflo les plus vieux, pour relâcher le harnais. C'est difficile à serrer le harnais comme il faut, mais je trouve que ça va mieux si on le serre le plus possible avant de mettre l'enfant dedans, et faire un dernier ajustement après. C'est "faisable" mais il y a beaucoup mieux en matière d'ajustement sur le marché.

Here is a view from above of the shield in its closest-in position. I think it is not too bad on a child Sandrine's size. She's not exactly a string bean, but is not chubby really either (though she is pint-sized all over for her age!). I would not move it out any further than this, since it fits fine still on her this way. /-§§-/ Voici une vue du dessus, avec le bouclier dans sa position le plus près du corps possible. Sur un enfant du grandeur de Sandrine, ce n'est pas si mauvais. Elle n'est pas exactement mince comme un haricot, mais n'est pas vraiment grassouillette non plus (même si elle est pas mal petite dans toutes les directions pour sa grandeur). Je ne mettrai pas le bouclier plus loin que ça vu que ça ne l'écrase pas du tout dans cette position-ci.

Encore, comme Nyssa en haut, je trouve que c'est beaucoup trop loin de son corps. Je ne l'utiliserai pas comme tel.

Here is a close-up of the harness slot area. I am pushing the fabric down on Sandrine's shoulder so one can see that she is still below the 2nd to the top slots. This seat has been called "posessed" in the past «grin». I am pretty sure she had less growing room to the 2nd to the top slots than this the last time I tried Sandrine in a Titan-V (pictured on my main convertible carseat page). It seems some kids fit with less room in this seat than in other seats, and sometimes it seems to provide more room. Bizarre, to say the least. Anyhow, she has heaps of growing room in this seat. As far as I can see, at least as much as in a Touriva, Alpha-Omega, Roundabout...and it looks like more than in a Graco Comfort Sport, on this particular freaky seat. «grin» /-§§-/ Voici une vue de proche des trous du harnais. Je pousse sur le tissu sur l'épaule de Sandrine pour montrer qu'elle est toujours en bas des trous les 2ième du haut. On a déjà traité ce siège de "hanté" dans le passé, ha ha ha. Je suis pas mal sur qu'elle avait moins de place à grandir dans le siège Titan-V (qu'on peut voir sur ma page principale des sièges convertibles). Il paraît que certains enfants vont avoir moins de place dans ce siège que dans un autre siège convertible, tandis que d'autres vont en avoir plus...ou bien le même enfant aura plus ou moins de place pour grandir d'un siège Titan à l'autre! Bizarre...
