I am looking for information on a John Plasky Wright and his sister Molley. The most I have on him is that he and his sister might have come from Oklahoma, I know that he was born Mar.10 1870. I don't know when his sister was born but she married a man named McDonnall then after he died she married a man named Yawls. John married a Nancy Livinia Reed who had 3 brothers, Noah who lived in Miami, Texas, Huey who lived in Mobeetie, Texas and an Elijah who was disappeared in the early 1950's. John was supposed to have been married before and had a son named Richard? who lived in Louisiana. John and Nancy had 7 children; James Everett. whos family lives in Ca., John Marvin, Roy Lenzy, Huey Alvin who served in the Phillapines during ww2, Noah Reed who served in Germany during ww2, Annie Bell, and Flora Dell. John and Nancy lived in Allenreed, Texas perhaps in the 1920's or 30's. His youngest surving daughter told me that her Aunt Molley told her that they were on a wagon train and that their parents were killed by Indians and that they were taken in by a family name Plasky if this were true I think it may have been in the 1870's. My grandfather told my grandmother that his family came from England a long time ago, but I'm not sure when. If anyone has any info please email me at [email protected].

Date: Wed, 3 Dec 97 10:59:44 +0000
Hi Thanks for the update on the Wright web site. I have been stumbling over a connection of my Wright family to any of the mainstream Wright families in Virginia. I was sent several notes from Wright readers and folks in VA connecting mine to the Francis Wright/Anne Washington family. It seems I had it made until I found a well documented genealogy in the Family History Library as to the descendants of Francis Wright and Anne Washington and the connection everyone had given me does not exist. Seems someone simply added my particular family to one of the great great grandchildren of Francis Wright, with no documentation to prove the connection.
I am descended from a James Bradford Wright who was born in VA in 1790 and married Mary Smith in KY about 1809, then moved on to Jackson County, AL by the late 1820's. He died in 1866 in Jackson County, AL. He had two brothers named Isham and Isaac Wright and one sister Rachel Wright. Rachel married Jabez Perkins, businessman and Primitive Baptist minister in Jackson County, AL. Seems Isham moved to Arkansas by the late 1830's and settled near Mountainburg, AR.
I have been frustrated for years over connecting my James Bradford Wright to any Wright family in VA, so I guess I will continue being frustrated but will not accept the connection some Wright researchers have given me. Thanks for listening and for helping on the Wright TidBit page. -- Alvie L. Davidson Email: [email protected] Web: http://www.concentric.net/~tracer/detective.html

My father was Hamilton William Wright. He was born into the family of Dr. John Calvin Wright, whom was married to Rose Hamilton. They lived in Antigo WI. in the late 1990s through 1938, when Dr. Wright died. There were 7 children in the family, including my father Hamilton.
I only have word of mouth as to the line before my grandfather. Though spar the story is very interesting. It was told to me by my Uncle John Jesse Wright about 20 years ago, just before he died.
It seems my Greatgrandfather, whose name might have been Rev. Irvin Wright was minister to President Andrew Johnson in Greenville Tennessee. It seems Irvin lived with a family headed by an Andrew Miller. Rumor has it that Irvine married all three of Millers daugthters as they died off. My Uncle John told me that he and my grandfather visited the Andrew Johnson Musium in 1928 and found a note in the President's diary that "he had spent an enjoyable evening with the Rev. Wright discussing matters."
Rumor has ity that Irvine Wright came to Greenville in 1849 by foot at the age of about 16 from Philidelphia. I think the family originally came our of Manchester England.
I have no direct information as to where John Calvin Wright was born. Only that he died in 1938 in Antigo WI, where he was the principle town doctor.
