Lougenia WRIGHT born in Ga. around March 1857 married a George W. Breare in the in 1879, probably in Florida since that is where her children are born. Little other information to go on, may have lived in Lafayette Co, Mayo City Florida. Her husband was a county judge who dies in 1901 so she I think she remarried a Charles Land since in the 1920 census for Florida it shows her youngest Breare child as a stepson to this man. Her she went by the name of Gina. Any help connecting her to anyone else is greatly appreciated.

I need to know: Where were Benjamin WRIGHT and Sarah BYE married? Where were the Wrights before Nelson County, KY? I am looking for my Wright family, that lived in Tyler County, West Virginia. My gg-grandfather was David T. Wright, born July 6, 1832, in Tyler County, West Virginia. He married Sarah J. Prickett, born May 28, 1828, I'm not sure where. They were married on September 25, 1859. They came to Boone County, Indiana in 1888. They had six children, Rosberry born 1854, James born 1860, Louvina Jane born 1862, Jacob born, 1864, Francis Marion born 1866, and Matthew born 1871. Since David married Sarah in 1859, he must have been married before. In his obit it mentions a daughter, Mrs. Doris McIntyre of Oklahoma. After David died, Sarah must have went back to West Virginia, because her obit says that she died October 13. 1896 in Burlington, West Virginia. If any of this information looks familiar, please contact me. I am at a loss as to who their parents were. Thank you. Connie Taylor [email protected]

I am searching for one or two Wright families, somewhere in Vermont in the late 1700's. All I have to go on is the following:

Abraham Wright, born 1799-1801, Vermont; married Leah (born abt 1799, NY, d. 1883, MI); moved to Canada (or may have married in Canada); had the following known children:

Jesse C. Wright, b. abt 1833, Canada, d. 1905, Stevens Co., WA Louisa Wright, b. abt 1843, Canada

NOTE: Both of the children were listed in the 1860 Census of Huron Co., MI, living in the same household.

Abraham and Leah Wright were living in Huron Co., MI by 1860.

John B. Wright, born abt 1799-1801, Vermont; married Louisa (b. abt 1799, NY); by 1860, they were also living in Huron County, MI.

According to a couple of obituaries of Jesse C. Wright's children, this family was somehow related to General George Wright (Civil War General, Commander of the Department of the Pacific during the Civil War, a long military history in Oregon and Washington, etc.).

ANY information or clues would be greatl

Subject: David WRIGHT

Date: Mon, 21 Apr 97 17:06:47 +0000

I am working on the David WRIGHT family but need additional information on David's parents. David was born 31 March, 1817 in Hagarstown, Maryland. His family moved to Lebanon, Ohio were David met and married Amanda GALLOWAY on 1 September, 1838. They moved to Fountain County Indiana and had five children: James W. (my GG Grandfather); Joseph P.; David D.; Abigail; and Amanda. The family moved to Polk County, Iowa just prior to the 1850 Census but the only two children with them were James W. and Abigail. Both James W. and Abigail married in Polk County and started raising families when they all moved to Smith County, Kansas less than a year before David's death on 9 May, 1879. There was a Thomas Wright listed in Indiana at the same time as David which gave a biography that matches the movements in location and time as those of David. This biography listed the father of Thomas as a William Wright who came from Ireland in 1803, stopped for a short stay in New York then moved to Virginia for a couple years then moved to Maryland where he spend ten or twelve years then moved to Warren County, Ohio where he died. Although this Thomas Wright is 12 years older than David, I believe it could be David's older brother. Thomas was born in Hagarstown, Maryland on 14 October, 1804. That would make him 13 years older than David. I have extensive information from David and Amanda down to the present which I am willing to exchange with anyone working on this line, but I need to find David's parents for certain as well as any siblings. Any help would be greatfully appreciated....

Have you seen a Zilpha Wright in any of your research on the Wright's in Randolph Co., NC? I don't know her parents or siblings, etc. After John Bookout died, she married a man named Cox. Thanks for any assistance you can give me. Betty

I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on this Wright/Hill connection in Randolph Co. NC.

Absalom Hill (1796-1863) married Gizzeal (Gilly) Wright (1798-1841) in Randolph Co. NC. Gizzeal Wright daughter of Richard Wright and ? Morgan. She had two cousins, Benjamin Wright (1794-1866) and Sarah Wright (1792-1846), children of Benjamin and Barbara Morgan Wright. Sarah married Thomas Hill (ca 1809-?), and Benjamin married Mary Hill (1800-1846). Thomas and Mary were brother and sister.

Were Absalom, Thomas and Mary Hill all siblings? Absalom is known to be the brother of my ggg grandfather John Hill (1790-1825).

Happy to exchange info on this (non-Quaker) Hill family in Randolph Co. NC, later Knox Co. IN.

My husband's deceased brother, Donald Prescott Wright, researched the family genealogy many years ago. It was published in the New Brunshwick Lineages in 1988. In a brief review of his information, I found the following and thought it might be of interest or assistance to some Wright out there:

Dr. David Clarendon Wright b. 1925 Haverhill, MA, USA

Dr. Arthur Clarendon Wright b. 1890-1964 Woolwich, ME, USA

Rev. Fenwick Clarendon Wright b. 1862-1936 Cambridge, New Brunswick

James Wright b. 1800-1878 Westfield, Gagetown, Cambridge, NB

Capt. James Wright b. 1771-c1808 Westfield, Gagetown, NB

Also have maiden names/dates of birth of wives of the above.

Found another Wright genealogy in the same publication. Info for this Wright family shows:

Vivian Marie Wright b. 1931- Sussex, NB

Eldon Jesse Wright b. 1871-1971 Millstream, NB

John Wright b. 1829-1908 Head of Millstream, Kings Co., NB

Joseph Wright b. 1802-__?_ Norton, NB

William Wright b. 1763-1841 Studholm, Kings Co., NB

My name is James Stanford. My great grandmother's maiden name was Thelma Wright. She was born March 9, 1899, most likely in Kentucky. Rumor has it that she is closely related to the Wright Brothers. I am trying to find out any information I can about her or her family.

I did learn a little more about my great grandmother, though. Her name, as I said, was Thelma Wright. Her father was Ballinger Wright and her mother was Molly Wright. Brothers and sisters included: Maggie Wright, Margaret Wright, Alice Wright, & Joe Wright. Also, Ballinger had two other children from a previous marriage: Silas Wright (who was shot by police in a shoot out in the early 1910's) and Birdie Wright. That is about all I know right now. If any of this sounds familiar, please, let me know. Thanks.

Subject: JOHN WRIGHT

Date: Mon, 7 Apr 97 22:10:38 +0000

I am searching for information on John WRIGHT. John was in Greene Co. TN 1880 and 1900 census. 1880 census says John was born in NC and 1900 census says SC. Both agree on age as being same. Tennesseeans seem to combine the two as The Carolinas rather than NC and SC.

In 1880 census John WRIGHT was 44 years of age with wife Therissa age 37 b. in TN. Daughter Cornelia STORY age 16 b. in NC, son-in-law Thomas STORY age 20 b. in TN and grand-daughter Mary E. STORY age 1 b. in TN.

In 1900 Greene Co. TN census John WRIGHT was 65 b. in SC wife Jennie b. 1841 in TN, 2 g-daughters 3 g-sons, all STORY's b. in TN.

John's daughter Cornelia was b. in NC abt 1864. The WRIGHTS must have been in NC 1860's.

If anyone has information on these people I would to make contact. I would like to know if other children were born to Therissa. Jennie had no children.

Looking for information on my g-g-grandmother, Maret Wright, b. August 8, 1847 in Illinois. She married Anson Marshall, possibly in Illinois. They are listed in the 1870 Oregon census along with an Aelan Wright and the census states they were all born in Illinois. Maret Wright and Anson Marshall had at least 3 children: Esther, Lena and Clyde. The census states that Esther was 12 at that time and that she was born in Oregon so that may mean they traveled from Illinois to Oregon abt 1858.

Any help would be appreciated! I haven't been able to find any information on Maret Wright!

Hello Everyone, I am seeking information about my Grandfather's family tree.... His name was Frederick Nelson WRIGHT b. NJ. His father was Nelson Hughson WRIGHT b. October 30, 1881, buried in Mt. Freedom, NJ. He married Emma Elizabeth LINTON, b. June 9, 1895. Family stories have it that Nelson was a serious drinker and was killed by a hit and run driver while intoxicated in Dover, NJ. and found dead by the side of the road the next day. Emma died in Greystone Mental Hospital, Morris Plains, NJ sometime after 1940. I have little else.. Nelson's father was supposedly Henry WRIGHT married to Katherine ? Frederick had a brother, Willliam, b. 1917 and died in 1918 of pneumonia. Does anyone have any ties to these WRIGHTS? Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you.
