Employer Responsibilities:
- Develop a written plan to protect employees
- Provide initial and yearly education on OSHA Blood borne Pathogens Standard
- Provide free hepatitis B vaccine
- Provide employees with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to perform their duties safely
- Provide proper testing, treatment and
follow-up for employees who are exposed to blood and other potentially
infectious materials
- Provide employee training and enforce
procedures to ensure employees are using safe practices
