Frequently asked Question #1: How is my grade calculated?

Answer: Your grade is weighted. Your grade for a category of assignments is multiplied by the grade weight percentage for that category. Those results are added up to compute your weighted grade. The grade weight values for Chem and Honors Chem are shown below.

Chemistry Grade Weights :

40% Tests

25% Labs

10% Homework

10% Participation

15% Midterm/Final

Honors Chemistry Grade Weights :

40% Tests and Quizzes

30% Labs

10% Homework

5% Participation

15% Midterm/Final
