| 1950ish GM Promotional Bus Photos Taken 1997 |
 I found these in Illinois on Rt. 42 just below the Wisconsin state line. |
 I had never seen anything like these and had to stop to take some photo's. |
 I have since learned that they were a GM promotional gimmic from the early to middle 50's. Some gimmic, huh? |
 Since the garage was closed I couldn't get any info on them. Next time I came through they were gone. I would love to own one! |
 You can't see it but the busses had duallies on the front and rear, strange! |
The only entrance to the busses were the double doors in the back.The driving compartment was only big enough for the driver, and he sat in the middle of the bus. I walked inside one of the busses and only had a walkway the width of the hump on the roof to get to the driving compartment. The sides opened up for display purposes. |
