Her fears were set rest when she felt Luis� arms around her. Just yesterday her and Luis were deadlocked in their disagreement over whether or not Luis said he was using her, but then last night Luis suggested they just forget that day ever happened and in an effort to move on Sheridan agreed. After that she and Luis spent most of the night talking, just talking. They talked about everything- from the spark they both admitted to feeling the night they met to the way they felt when they went on their first date. All they did was talk yet both Sheridan and Luis felt they could go on forever, just as long as they were talking to each other. When the time came for sleep Sheridan only asked that Luis hold her until she fell asleep. Now as she lay still in her bed she could feel Luis� warm breaths tickle the back of her neck. Luis lay there with Sheridan in his arms thinking about all the wonderful things that had happened the night before. Luis smiled just at the thought that he and Sheridan could finally move on with their relationship. Luis lay still as he possibly could for fear that if her moved he would not only wake Sheridan but also for fear that he would have to break contact with her. After all Luis had never slept better in his life, he had Sheridan in his arms and with every breath he took, he smelt the sweet aroma of Sheridan�s hair mixed with the remaining scent of her perfume. After lying there for a few minutes, as not to wake one another, Sheridan finally turned over so that she could see Luis. �Morning beautiful�, Luis caught Sheridan by surprise. �Oh, I didn�t know you were awake�, Sheridan smiled. �Didn�t want to wake you�, Luis said as he stared into her eyes. Sheridan giggled knowing she had done the exact same thing. �We should get up�,� Sheridan said reluctantly. �Yeah�you�re right� Neither of them moved. After lying still for a few minutes, Luis started to reluctantly get up. �Luis, wait-�, Sheridan whispered before placing the sweetest kiss on Luis� lips, Luis easily gave into the kiss and they passionately kissed for what seemed like the perfect eternity before Luis broke the kiss. �Maybe we shouldn�t�, Luis said not wanting to mean the words he spoke. With a slightly confused, hurt look, Sheridan asked �why�. She though Luis wanted to be with her as much as she wanted to be with him. As if reading her mind, Luis smiled and replied sensitively, �Trust me Sheridan, I want this, �I want you more than I�ve ever wanted anything in my entire life. I just want to make sure your ready for this. If we go into a relationship, I�m going to make sure your happy for all eternity, I swear�. I-I love you Sheridan.� As tears welled up in Sheridan�s eyes she quietly proclaimed, � I love you too Luis, more than you�ll ever know! When I think of where I�ll be many years form now, your always there with me.� And they sealed it with a kiss. Chapter 2 Love�Luis had been in love before� or so he had thought, but this was new. When Luis was with Sheridan it was something totally different. He couldn�t even explain it�the place he was taken to when he looked at Sheridan. It was like the world stopped spinning, time stopped, they were the only two people in the world and they were floating in a see of happiness and love. Luis already knew he wanted to marry Sheridan, have children with her and grow old with her but he would wait. Luis wanted to make sure that Sheridan was on that same level with him when he proposed, he was pretty sure she was, they hadn�t even made love yet and they were both head over heels for one another. Then there were their families. Luis knew that his family would easily come to accept Sheridan but Sheridan�s family was a whole other story and Luis didn�t want to cause the rip between her and her family to grow. �Hello? � Earth to Luis!?�, Sheridan called in a sing-song voice, �Penny for your thoughts?� �Just thinking about you� me� us.�, Luis said staring deeply into her eyes. �Oh really? � What about us?�, Sheridan smiled sweetly. �Oh just how much I love you�, he said as he got up from the kitchen table, kissed Sheridan on the lips and went to pour her a cup of coffee, �also� I was thinking about��, He trailed off. Sheridan could tell his whole mood had changed, �What Luis?�, her voice laced with concern. He turned to her and wrapped his arms gently around her waist, staring seriously into her eyes, �Your family�, Luis said in a hushed voice. �I don�t want to think about them�, She said knowing exactly where Luis was going, �I love you too much to let them stand in our way.� �I don�t want to think about them either, and for now I don�t think they�ll be too much of a problem,� but Sheridan��, he spoke softly while cupping her face, �I love you and so help me God I want to spend the rest of my life with you and when Julian and Alistair realize how serious we are, I think you know just as well as I do that they will do everything in their power to rip us apart.� �I don�t care�I don�t need them�I need you�I can cut myself off from them�sure I wont have the riches but I�ll have love� That�s what this is about right?�, Sheridan asked cautiously. �Yes�Sheridan�yes�I love you more than I know how�, Luis managed to whisper between gently placing kisses all over Sheridan�s face before resting on her lips. As he pulled away from her he looked deep into her crystal blue eyes. �I just don�t want to be the thorn that rips your family apart. I couldn�t stand to see you deal with that pain, plus a person needs family in their life�� �Luis I know I need family�I was just kind of hoping� you�d be my family�I mean we love each other�and plus Pilar has always been like a second mother to me��, She smiled, tears welling up in her eyes. The smile across Luis� face was all the reassurance Sheridan needed as she passionately kissed Luis. Without breaking the kiss entirely Sheridan managed to say, �Make love to me�please�I�m so in love with you�I need to experience you.� Luis pulled back just enough to look into her eyes and see that she was as ready as he was. Without breaking contact he led her into the bedroom. That would be the last time Luis and Sheridan were known as two people. Their lovemaking formed a bond that the strongest force probably couldn�t break. Chapter 3 Two weeks Later �Wow I cant believe I found such a nice apartment so quickly!�, Sheridan said happily to Luis as they carried the last of her belongings to the moving truck. After placing the last box in the back of the truck and shutting the door Luis wrapped his arms around Sheridan and kissed her, �Mmmm I know Sheridan,�and now we don�t have to feel Julian and Alistair breathing down our necks whenever we�re together.� �I love you�, Sheridan said happily into Luis� lips. �I love you more�, Luis chuckled. �Oh we�re gunna do this again?�, Sheridan giggled, �And I suppose you are going to make me prove I love you more again too! You know my bed is all packed up in the moving truck!� �Yeah your right�, Luis laughed, �Plus we should get going.� He gave her one last kiss before going to the passenger side door and opening it for her, �My love?� She giggled, �Ooh Thank you!� Four and a half hours later �Whoa! I cant believe how quickly we got everything un-packed�, Sheridan said amazed. �Yeah�, Luis said coming up behind her and wrapping his strong arms around her stomach and resting his head on her shoulder, �This is now officially �Sheridan�s Place��, He laughed. �Yup�, She said as she turned to face him, �but there�s something missing.� �Oh yeah what�s that?� �Your stuff!�, She smiled seductively resting her pointer finger on his chest. Luis took his hands and placed them on her shoulders and slid them down her arms until he grabbed her hands and they interlocked their fingers. �You know we talked about this! As much as I love you I want to be able to start a normal relationship with you. I want to take you out on dates and romance you like you deserve�but if I live here with you it takes some of the fun out of it!� �I knowwwwww�, Sheridan smiled. �And then there is the fact that if I lived here it would pretty much kill those unplanned sleep overs!�, Luis said in his sexiest voice. �Oh�, Sheridan said in a voice like she�d just remembered something she�d forgotten, �I need your help with something.� �What�s that?�, Luis asked curiously. �Well I thought you could help me� um�Test the bed ya know�make sure it�s set up right?�, She smile seductively. Luis chuckled, �I think that can be arranged!� He said as he kissed Sheridan and picked her up to go christen the new bedroom. Chapter 4 In the two weeks since Sheridan had moved into her own place her and Luis were inseparable. To the naked eye it really wasn't obvious that Luis didn't infact live with Sheridan, THAT'S how much time they spent together. *** Sheridan lay in bed smiling at the ceiling. Luis wasn't at her side but that was only because he had a surprise for her and he said he wouldn't be able to have it ready if he spent the night. She looked at the clock...It was already 1:00pm! As she got out of bed and began to get ready for the day she realized she had no clue where Luis was taking her, therefore she had no clue what to wear. She dressed casual dressy hoping she wouldn't be over dressed or under dressed. After she perfected her hair and makeup she headed into her living room, when she got there she saw a bouquet of 1 dozen long stem roses with a card. 'Luis' She thought as a smile spread from ear to ear. She carefully opened the card. �Good morning my love these are for you, now head to your car to get the next clue�, it read. Sheridan laughed as she wondered what Luis was up to. She grabbed her keys and left her apartment. As she got in her car she saw a single long stem rose with a note. She picked up the note and read it. �You�re wondering where now you must look, a place to get coffee and also a book.� �The book caf�, She thought aloud. ~*~ When she got to the book caf� it was virtually empty except for Beth, a waitress and an old man sipping coffee. �Hey Beth! Has Luis been in here? He�s doing this treasure hunt thing and the clue said to come here.� �Yep he did�, Beth replied knowingly. She leaned behind the counter and pulled out another long stem rose, a note, and a small book of love poems. The note read: �These poems seem to be able to express the things that I can�t seem to find the words for. Now get in your car and head to the perfume store.� Sheridan smiled as she headed out of the caf� and walked up the street to the small perfume shop. She walked in and a little bell rang sending the cashier girl whirring around to ask if she could help her. �Hello, may I help you?� The woman asked in an obnoxiously cheery voice. �Actually yes� um this is gunna sound weird but my boyfriend seems to be-� �Sheridan Crane?� The woman interrupted. Sheridan nodded. �Ah, yes, Luis was here�he left this for you� That Luis�He�s some guy!� The clerk said as she placed yet another single long stemmed rose, a note, and a small package on the counter. �Thank you very much.� Sheridan smiled sweetly before grabbing the three items and taking them to a bench outside. Sheridan carefully opened the crisp white package. Inside she found a small bottle of �Forever Mine�� her favorite perfume. �How sweet.� She thought before directing her attention to the note. �You don�t really need this to make you smell sweet, now head to your car for your next special treat.� �No wonder I�m crazy about Luis!� She thought as she headed to her car. As she got back in her car she saw another rose and note sitting on top of a wrapped box. She opened the box to find the most beautiful dress she�d ever seen. �Oh my,�� She trailed of as she looked around to see if Luis was still in the vicinity, but he was nowhere to be seen. Sheridan neatly placed the dress back in the box and unfolded the note. � A dress just for you, only the best, but it�s time for more, head to the Jewelry store.� Once at the jewelry store Sheridan didn�t know what to expect. The cashier knew exactly what she was there for. As soon as she stepped into the store the clerk pulled another rose & note from behind the counter as well as a large, flat, jewelry box. �For you Ms. Crane� the woman said simply. Sheridan slowly opened the box and stared in awe at the stunning necklace that lay before her. It had countless diamonds, and three huge rubies, that were the same shade as the dress he�d given her, it was the most gorgeous necklace Sheridan had ever seen. Tears welled up in her eyes at the thought that Luis had done all this just for her. Sheridan read the note as she closed the box to the necklace. �Tada! Now it�s time to stop at the spa!� �I can�t believe this!� Sheridan whispered to no one in particular. ~*~ After receiving the �Royal treatment� at the spa Sheridan was given another bouquet containing a half dozen roses with a note. �Well my love I hope you�ve had a wonderful day. It�s about to get better. Now it�s time to get dressed and come pick up your date. Drive safe, all my love, Luis� Sheridan used the changing room at the spa to change into her dress and Luis and arranged for someone at the spa to do her hair and makeup however she wanted. Now it was time to go pick up Luis. Chapter 5 Sheridan walked slowly to the door of her apartment not knowing what to expect. As she reached for the doorknob, Luis opened the door wearing a tuxedo and holding one more rose, bringing her final tally up to two dozen. �Luis!� Sheridan exclaimed as she jumped into his arms, �I can�t believe you did all this! You�re so sweet! I love you even more�If that�s even possible!!!� She said as she kissed him passionately. �But wait� he said as he turned her so she faced the living room and stood behind her with his arms around her stomach. �Luis!� She said as she saw the romantically decorated apartment. She gazed around at the thousands of candles and rose petals all over the apartment before leaning her head back and looking into his eyes. �What did I ever do to deserve anyone who is as wonderful to me as you are?� He smiled, �You walked into my life�that�s all you had to do to make my heart skip a beat.� A �ding� from the kitchen interrupted their kissing. �Mmm dinner is served� Luis said sweetly as he took Sheridan�s hand and lead her towards the table. There was nothing in all her power that Sheridan could do to wipe the smile off her face and Luis pulled out her chair and disappeared into the kitchen. A few minutes later Luis reappeared with a silver platter. He removed the lid to reveal one plate with two lobster tails and two forks. The two fed each other bite after bite until there was nothing left with the exception of the shells. �Desert time� Luis sang as he poured champagne and disappeared once again into the kitchen. After a few minutes Luis came through the kitchen door with another silver platter. �Ooh� Sheridan giggled �What�s on the menu?� �Luis special� He chuckled as he got down on one knee. �Ok Sheridan I think you know what I am about to do,� He said removing the lid to show the most brilliantly amazing engagement ring Sheridan had ever seen,� but just let me finish� He could see the tears filling Sheridan�s eyes and could feel them in his own. �As long as I have known you I�ve felt something for you that I have never felt for anyone else before nor would I ever feel it again for anyone else but you. At first I convinced my self that feeling was hate� Luis chuckled �I didn�t want a relationship and I certainly didn�t think that if I did get involved with anyone it would be a Crane! But somehow I let my guard down and fell harder for you than I thought was humanly possible! I love you with ever fiber of my being and I would be honored if you would be my wife� Will you marry me Sheridan Crane?� By this point both Luis and Sheridan were crying. It took a few minutes to be able to compose a sentence but Sheridan finally spoke, �I love you so much Luis, there isn�t a single person on earth that I would rather spend the rest of my life with, I just hope I can make you half as happy as you make me!�Yes�a billion times yes!� Luis quickly placed the ring on her finger and jumped up and swept Sheridan into his arms. �I can�t believe this� Sheridan wept �I�ve waited so long for this!� �Me too� Luis said crying a waterfall of joyful tears��Me too.� Chapter 6 Luis started his day as an engaged man by making his fianc�e ( he liked the ring of that) breakfast in bed. �Morning my Love� Luis whispered in Sheridan�s ear. �Mmm, morning!� Sheridan said as she blinked her eyes a few times to adjust her eyes. �Ooh, breakfast in bed�You never cease to amaze!� She said as kissed Luis and sat up. �Sheridan, I�ve been thinking about this a lot� he began as he fed her a bite of eggs, � I can�t wait to marry you but I just want to make sure you realize how much your life is about to change, I mean money will be tighter, we�ll make it, sure, but things certainly will be different� he continued. �Well actually I have to tell you something�I�ve never told anyone this before�I didn�t really need to��Sheridan said very seriously. �My mother was forced to marry my father, a man she didn�t really love, she didn�t want that to happen to me, but she also knew that if I tried to marry a man that my father didn�t approve of, he would cut me off from the family. So in her will, besides my basic inheritance, my mom left me a special trust fund which no one knows about besides myself and the executor of her will�and now you. Julian and Alistair couldn�t get their hands on that money no matter what they did. The only way it could be tapped into is by me and my legal husband. In the fund my mother left me her family�s entire fortune. I had no clue how much was in it, but when I fell in love with you and saw the possibility of being cut off I checked into the fund and� Sheridan chuckled�a little bit nervously, �well lets put it this way, there is definitely enough money in there to put us and our children pretty well off,�extremely well off if we work. Now I know you don�t like the prospect of my Crane money paying for everything, but it�s really not�it was my mother�s money and she was anything but a Crane, plus the money was left to myself and my husband. She knew I was gunna meet you one day� Sheridan smiled nervously, not knowing how Luis was going to react. �I love you, no matter how much money we have, we could be homeless on the street, but if you were with me, it would be alright, and if we were the richest people in America it wouldn�t matter at all to me because you would be by my side. I love you.� Luis said cupping Sheridan�s face. �I love you so much Luis�I don�t know what I�d do without you in my life, I�d be truly lost.� Sheridan said softly with tears in her eyes. �Now I think there are a few people that might be interested in the news of out engagement�Don�t you think?� �Hmm I suppose� Luis laughed as he and Sheridan got out of bed and began to get ready. �Hey Luis� Sheridan called from the bathroom. �Yeah?� �I love you� She said as she stuck her head out of the bathroom. �I love you too�so very much� He said as he walked over to her and swept her up in a bear hug. Chapter 7 6 months later �Oh my�� Sheridan couldn�t believe what today was. It was her wedding day. A year ago she didn�t even think she�d ever get married. Now here she was, marrying the only man she�d ever truly loved. She was so happy. ~*~ �Oh I am so nervous!� Luis mumbled as he straightened the tie on his tuxedo. He�d waited for this day for his entire life yet he never imagined he�d be this happy. He checked to make sure everything was perfect. He couldn�t wait to see Sheridan, he hadn�t seen her since yesterday morning. �Luis you ready yet?� Ethan called from outside the door. Yeah that was another thing Luis never imagined happening�Ethan his best man. But then again he never would�ve guessed Ethan wasn�t a Crane either, so who knew! But that was a whole other story. �Yeah man�Let�s go� Luis smiled. �Ok Theresa said Sheridan was ready to go also� Ethan said as he and Luis entered the brilliant church. Hundreds of people were there. Nearly all of Harmony with the exception of Julian and Alistair, but that was to be expected. Ethan left to get to the back of the church just as the music began. The bridal party slowly, too slow for Luis, he just wanted to see Sheridan. Then as Theresa and Ethan took their places at the front of the church Sheridan stepped into the doorway in her beautiful white gown. Her beauty took Luis� breath away and with every step she took towards his heart skipped a beat. If Luis hadn�t known better he would�ve sworn she was glowing. �You are so beautiful� he whispered in her ear as she reached the altar. �I know for a fact that I am the luckiest guy in the world.� As Father Lonigan began the ceremony Sheridan grabbed Luis� hand and they intertwined their fingers. When the time came for exchange of vows the Father announced that they had written their own vows. They turned to face each other and gazed deeply into the others eyes. Luis began. �All my life I have dreamt about meeting that one person and falling madly in love, but that was only a dream, then I met you Sheridan and my dream came true right before my eyes. Since that first day we met there hasn�t been a single moment that you weren�t in my thoughts. I�ve searched high and low to find the words to express just how much I love you� but it�s not conceivable. There are no words to express the way I feel so on this day in front of all these people I promise that I will devote my entire life to you and trying to show you just how much I love you.� By this point tears were consuming both Sheridan�s and Luis� eyes. Father Lonigan interrupted the silence, �Now your turn Sheridan.� �My precious Luis, I used to have this dream of a tall dark stranger who was always saving me. I fell in love with this dream man even though he didn�t exist� then I met you and slowly but surely the stranger in my dream revealed himself�It was you. I knew from that moment that you were the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. You make me happier than I ever thought possible and even in our down times, you�ve shown me more love than anyone has in my life. I will truly love you until the day I die Luis.� A single tear ran down Sheridan�s cheek as she stared into Luis� loving eyes. The rest of the ceremony seemed to breeze right by until Father Lonigan said Luis could kiss his bride. That one kiss seemed to freeze time, the world seemed to exist only for Luis and Sheridan. The couple was brought back to earth by the cheering of their friends and family. �I love you� Sheridan whispered to Luis. �I love you more!� Luis chuckled. �No way!� She giggled as they made their way back down the isle, now joined legally as one. They exited the church to a sea of bubbles blown from the mouths of their family and friends. They jumped into their awaiting Limo. They giggled at all the excitement until their gazes met. �I love you my beautiful wife� Luis said holding Sheridan�s hands. �I love you my amazing husband� Sheridan smiled. Sheridan and Luis headed to her apartment so she could put on the dress she�d picked out for the reception. It was a beautiful blue dress that was a satiny top with two small spaghetti straps and a skirt fit for a princess. Luis helped her slip from one dress to another staring at her in awe of her beauty the whole time. ~*~ The reception was beautiful. It was in an amazing ballroom with perfect marble floors and deep red walls. But Sheridan was by far the most beautiful thing about the rooms and Luis knew just how lucky he was to be the guy on her arm. The electricity in the room was especially high when Luis and Sheridan shared their first dance as husband and wife. �I love you Luis� Sheridan said as she nuzzled her head into his neck. �I love you too�I really do...� Chapter 8 Three Months Later Sheridan rolled over in her bed and looked lovingly at a sleeping Luis. Things had been so great in the past few months. Sheridan knew that her and Luis were so lucky, she knew that some couples went downhill after the wedding, but for her and Luis things just kept getting better. As Sheridan thought about how happy she was Luis began to wake up. Sheridan giggled �Morning sleepy head� �Hey� Luis smiled �What time is it?� �Umm� Sheridan said as she looked behind her at the alarm clock �11:30� �Are you serious?! I�m late for work!� Luis shrieked as he jumped out of bed. �Nope� Sheridan said as she grabbed Luis� hand and pulled him back into bed. �I called Sam and told him I had something special planned for you for today and asked for the day off and he obliged� �Oh really? What kind of surprise?� Luis said as he kissed her on the top of her nose. �That�s for me to know and you to find out� She giggled as she kissed him on the lips. Luis put on his best puppy dog grin. �No way mister!� She laughed as she got out of bed. Luis pulled her back and kissed her �Can�t we just stay here all day long?� he whined. �Well don�t you want your surprise?� She said kissing him again and proceeding to get out of bed again. ~*~ Sheridan put a blind fold on Luis and drove him to the place in the woods where they used to go on picnic when they�d first started dating. �Where are we going?� Luis begged jokingly. Sheridan laughed �You�re super cop�Shouldn�t you be able to sense this sort of thing?� �Ha Ha Very funny!� �Ok we�re here� Sheridan said finally. � Goody! Can I take this blindfold off yet?� �No way! Just hold your horse!!� Sheridan went around to Luis� side of the car and let him out. �Careful�� She said softly as she helped him climb out of the car. She led him to a small clearing between a group of trees. �Stay here�and NO peaking!� She laughed. Just to annoy Sheridan Luis stood there acting impatient by tapping his foot and twiddling his thumbs. Sheridan laughed �If you don�t wait your not gunna get your surprise�well actually you will because I cant possibly keep this to my self to much longer but I�ll take my time in giving it to you!� Luis jokingly whimpered in response. He stood for a little while longer before he sensed that Sheridan was right in front of him. �Alrighty�You ready?� Sheridan asked. He could smell her sweet perfume as she reached behind his head to untie his blind fold. Luis looked around , there was white rose pedals and candles all around him and a white sheet with a picnic basket in the center. Luis took it all in before centering his gaze on Sheridan. �What did I do to deserve all this?� he asked half serious half rhetorically. �You showed me love� and let me love you back� she replied simply placing a kiss on his lips. �But come on this isn�t the whole surprise� she said as she led him to the sheet. She opened the picnic basket and pulled out a box wrapped in crisp yellow paper with a white ribbon. �Ooh for me?� Luis said as he took the gift and began to open it. He opened the tissue paper to reveal a sonogram picture, he stared wide-eyed at the picture. His stare drifted to the bottom of the frame where it read �I love my daddy�. Luis looked up at Sheridan who stared nervously at him hoping she�d be as excited as she obviously was. �D-does this mean�you�re�we�re�? ��Pregnant� Sheridan finished not knowing how Luis would react. �Ohmigod! Sheridan!� He said excitedly swooping her up in her arms. She let out a sigh of relief. �This is so fantastic!� Luis continued. �How long have you known? How many weeks? When�s it due? I can�t believe this!� Luis stammered in one quick breath. �Whoa slow down!� She laughed. �I found out yesterday, you can�t really see much but I begged the doctor for a sonogram so I�d have something special to give you. I�m- we�re seven and a half weeks pregnant and the baby is due June 11th! I�m so relieved you�re happy about this!� Sheridan said with a permanent grin on her face. �Are you kidding me?! Sheridan! I love you so much and the fact that out of our love we were able to create this wonderful baby� he said as he rubbed her stomach �is the most amazing thing in the world!!� �I love you� Sheridan said as tears of joy sprung into her eyes. With Sheridan still in his arms Luis started spinning in circles, �We�re having a baby�� �Um Luis I am glad you are as excited about this as I am�but I think you might be very close to a preview of morning sickness!� She joked as Luis immediately sat her down. After they calmed down a little bit Sheridan took out the dinner she�d made for them. While they ate they just stared into each other�s eyes lost in each other. �I love you so much� Luis whispered, �more than life itself.� �I love you too, more than anything,� how about a toast?� Sheridan said as she pulled out a bottle of sparkling cider as opposed to champagne. After she poured two glasses she handed Luis his and he raised it up � To us,� and the newest member of our family.� They both took a sip before leaning in for a kiss. Chapter 9 Week and a half later �Sheridan� Luis called as he entered the front door. �Back here� she replied from the bedroom. �You ready Hun?� Luis asked as he entered the bedroom and locked eyes with his beautiful wife. �You bet! Let�s go!� She said excitedly as her and Luis headed out to their first official doctor�s appointment with their baby. ~*~ �Mrs. Lopez-Fitzgerald� the nurse called as she looked at a clipboard full of paper �you can go room 3.� �Here we go� Luis said as he gently squeezed Sheridan�s hand and walked down the hall. They entered the room and the doctor suggested they start right away. The sonogram was fairly procedure until the doctor turned the audio monitor to check the heartbeat. �Oh dear� the doctor mumbled. �What- what is it?!� Sheridan asked with sudden fear, �Is there something wrong with our baby? What is it?� �Calm down Sheridan, nothing is wrong! Quite the contrary, in fact. It appears to me that you two aren�t expecting just one baby� you�re expecting two!� �Oh my god!� Luis shouted happily as he jumped up in the air before kissing Sheridan. �Two babies!� Sheridan said gleefully with tears of joy forming in her eyes, �Luis we�re having twins!!� �Oh I love you so much Sheridan, so much!� �I love you too Luis!� After the doctor finished the examination Luis took Sheridan by the hand, �Let�s go celebrate!� �Where?!� Sheridan asked curiously. �Oh I don�t know� I�ll surprise you!� Luis chuckled as he flashed his million-dollar smile. ~*~ �The lobster shack!� Sheridan laughed. �Yep�now you stay right here and I�ll run in and see if the can seat us�k?� �Sure� Sheridan smiled. Luis hopped out of the car and headed into the restaurant. He returned a few minutes later with a single red rose. �For you milady� he smiled �Lets go they have a table ready and waiting for us right now.� They walked into the restaurant and the hostess led them to a table near the back of the place. �Hey you know this is the table we sat at on our first date� Sheridan pointed out as they sat. �So it is�� Luis and Sheridan sat and talked about how great their life has been since they met each other (well since they started seeing each other). Finally, for the first time since they sat at the table their waiter appeared, except he didn�t come to take their order. �Um, excuse me� Sheridan said as she got the man�s attention �we never actually ordered our food so this can�t be ours.� �Actually,�� Luis interrupted �I ordered the food.� �Oh� Sheridan said as she turned a bright shade of crimson � You could have told me!� She smacked him playfully! �It was a surprise!� By this point Sheridan look around at the food on the table. As she glanced around she realized all the food on the table was the same food that they shared the night they had their first date. �I was thinking about it�� Luis started as Sheridan looked at him in amazement over the food on the table, ��I think we sealed out fate the night we had our first date.� Luis laughed are Sheridan looked at him with a strangely confused face. �Hey we had twin lobsters�Now we have twin babies!� Sheridan giggled in response to his amusing connection. She kissed him sweetly, �No wonder I love you so much!� She smiled. �Mmmm I love you too� Chapter 10 Seven Months and Two weeks later(May 25!) Luis sat at work staring at the little picture if Sheridan on his desk. He had a ton of work to do, especially since it was nearing the end of the week, but he couldn�t concentrate on any of it. He was worried about Sheridan because he knew when he had left that morning she wasn�t feeling good. Luis wanted to stay home with her but he was trying to save his sick days for right after the babies were born. He couldn�t wait, there were only a few more weeks before they were due. He and Sheridan were so excited they got the nursery set up in pink and purple. They found out the sex of the babies only because they were having twins and figured it would be easier that way, so now they were totally ready to welcome the girls into the world. They hadn�t picked out names because they wanted to do that at the last minute. He was torn from his thoughts when the phone on his desk rang. He placed the picture of Sheridan back where he kept it and answered the phone. �Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald� he said as he kicked into cop mode. He listened into the phone for a response from the person on the other end but all he heard was heavy breathing. He listened for a few more seconds before he was about to brush it off as a prank when he heard a voice. �Luis?� It was Sheridan. �Sher?!� Ohmigod! What is it?� Luis said quickly. �It�s � It�s time!� Hurry!� That was all Luis needed as he quickly responded �I�m on my way� and scrambled to find his keys. He told Sam why he was leaving and headed home. He reached home to find her in more pain than he ever wanted to see her in. He helped her up and carried her to the car. They sped off to the hospital. Once they got there Luis quickly called his mother and told her to call everybody and then he rushed into the delivery room. ~*~ After what was named one of the quickest deliveries in Harmony Hospital history, especially for twins, Sheridan gave birth to two beautiful babies. As the doctors took Sheridan to clean her up, Luis called down to Pilar and told her if her and whoever was with her wanted to see the babies, to go to the nursery and they�d be up in a little while, and Luis went back to be with Sheridan and his two beautiful babies. When he walked into her room she was holding both babies in her arms and she looked up at Luis glowing. �We did this� she whispered happily, �we have these two beautiful little girls because we love each other so much!� �I didn�t think it was possible , but I think I love you even more than ever before!� Luis said as he gently kissed her forehead. �I love you too� Sheridan wept with joy. Luis looked at Sheridan and then at his daughters and he felt so much happiness, love, and joy that he thought he was about to start doing hand springs up and down the hallway, but he contained himself long enough to say, �We need to name these two.� �I know� Any Ideas?� She smiled at Luis. ~*~ Thirty minutes later Luis walked down the hallway watching cautiously as the nurse pushed his two precious angels towards the nursery. As he walked around the corner he ran up to give his mother a big hug. As he did he whispered in her ear �They�re just perfect mama!� He took a few seconds to accept congratulations from Miguel, Theresa and Ethan before taking his place behind the clear bassinets. Pointing to the baby affectionately labeled �twin a� he said �I now present Hannah McKenzie�� pointing to �twin b� � and Hayden Taylor.� The group �oohed� and �ahhed� before the nurses insisted they had to put the babies in the nursery for incubation and Luis headed back to see Sheridan , but not before making one stop. ~*~ Luis walked into Sheridan�s room carrying a gift bag but he put it off to the side for now since Sheridan was sleeping. He sat next to her bed taking her hand and he too quickly drifted off to sleep. When Sheridan eventually did wake up her movement immediately woke Luis. �Hey mommy� he said quietly with an ear to ear grin on his face. She giggled, �I kinda like the sound of that.� �Well get used to it!� he laughed, �Oh I got you something.�He said with realizationas he picked up the bag. Sheridan reached inside the bag and picked up 1 big pink teddy bear and two little ones. �Those are for my girls� Sheridan giggled as she pulled out a card. Luis sat silently as she read it. My sweet angel Sheridan, Never in my life have I met anyone who even came close to comparing to you. You are the kindest, truest, sweetest, genuine, loving person I have ever met. It�s really no wonder I fell in love with you. It didn�t stop there though. It seems like everytime you walk into a room, or even just smile at me I fall inlove with you all over again. You take my breath away. Hopefully in the time we spend together I have been able to show you exactly what you do to me or how you make me feel, but just in case,� Sheridan I love you with every single cell in my body, my heart and soul, forever and always. With all my love, Luis Sheridan looked up at Luis teary eyed. �luis I love you so much I don�t know the word to tell you. I am so incredibally blessed that you are the one person I will spend the rest of my life with�Forever and always.� With that he kissed her and once again they both fell in love with each other all over again.
