I would like to tell you more about me...but I don't know what to say really.
I want to tell you how was my vacation in Miami during the summer 2000. I left Europe on July 5th just after that the French soccer team won the European cup ;-) !! I stayed in New York for one night and then I moved to Clearwater in Florida, I was so tired when I arrived there, that I forgot my back bag in the airport shuttle, my video camera, all my papers, my glasses were inside my bag. Damn I was so mad to loose all my stuff, I was about to go back to Belgium after 2 days in the USA. But I called the shuttle office 20 times a day, and they finally found my bag. (thank u GOD) I stayed in Clearwater 7 days. I met a lot of nice people in the International Hostel, and the beach is beautiful there,...but there was not enough people there, just one good bar, no clubs, and I met a French guy (Laurent), he told me to move to Miami, because there is a lot of people, clubs, bars,..; and beautiful girls :-)) So I took the Greyhound bus to go there (7 hours in the bus that suck).
Miami is really a great place when you like to go out at night, I stayed at the Clay hotel (not gay hotel :))) ), it's a really nice hostel, just 2 blocks from the beach and one block from the biggest clubs. I knew nobody when I arrived there, but after only one night I met a bunch of French people, they came to talk to me cauz I was wearing the Olympique de Marseille shirt (my favorite French soccer team). I went to swim in the Ocean on my first night in Miami ( at 2 am ) with all those French people. (Aurélien, Jeremy, Sebastien, Bruno, Arnaud, Simon...) For my second night in Miami I went to club, to the Crobar (it's expensive there but Jeremy gave me free passes), and no girls for me during that "Hip-Hop" night, but the music was really good. I went back to the Crobar the night after, that was a "SEX" night (sex night are hotter in Belgium trust me) anyway...
In Miami my first job was dishwasher in a restaurant, I know that that kind pf job use to suck but I worked with really great peoples, the chef was really cool, the manager/waiter too and the sous chef was great too. I was paid $6 an hour, that's not a lot but that was ok cauz I ate for free, and there were not a lot of customer in the restaurant, because it's quiet expensive (but really good) some famous people use to go there (like Ben Affleck) the name of the restaurant is "Q's" it's located on Espanola way (just in front of the Crobar). I work in the restaurant 2 weeks, I stopped cauz I found a job in a French bakery, my job there was just to sale bread and stuff, and I met a lot of people there, I was paid $5,5 an hour. But believe me that was really great to work there, because the people who worked with me are really nice people. (Adel, Anthony, Elie,...)
And to you, who are reading my stuffs, if one day you go to Miami, go to the "Lost Weekend" it's a bar with pools on Espanola Way, close to the "Q's" restaurant. Go to that bar, and if you see a guy, sit alone at the bar drinking beers with headphones on his neck, and dress like a beach boy, go ahead to talk to him...it could be me. :)
