Still Dreaming

They are 10 Kat-tun and Kanjani8 playing together again in the show "Hey! Say ! Dream Boy". After one year there is also the dreamed conversation project. What sort of hilarious conversation it will be this year ?

Kazuya Kamenashi x Yu Yokoyama

-- How was it to play together again after one year ?

Yu : Kame was doing it seriously. But (vigorously) he wasn't funny !
Kame : I'm not funny. Can't the leader be serious ?
Yu : Maybe that's impossible ? (laughs) but on the other hand that's original.
Kame : Original ? (laughs). The role of a leader implies to be alone, recently i've started thinking maybe it would be better if i wasn't funny. I tried to use Yokoyama humour when we were playing together but it didn't work. So this time i want you to bring me to eat yakiniku (japanese dish). There teach me how to be funny please.
Yu : I don't have anything to teach you but let's go and eat yakiniku, i say that but. There's a good place, a restaurant where i brought all the members of Kanjani. Once everyone went there together. Kame was the only one of Kat-tun not coming.
Kame : Eh !? Only me ? (sound of door)
Yu : That's it (laughs)
Kame : It surprised me... the interruption (laughs)
Yu : Wahahah. but i really want to go. Kat-tun are funny. Except Kame.
Kame : Am I that not funny ?
Yu : Haha (burst out laughing) Subaruuu, Kame said "Am i that not funny ?"
Subaru : Well, he isn't funny (half laughing)
Kame : As expected (laughs)
Yu : That's great if you realized it by yourself. You know it's good not to be funny in our job. It's better to be cool. Not bad, you know how to dance. Really it's impossible to be only funny cause it comes from the heart. That's ok, Kame is like Kame.
Kame : No but i need to improve.
Yu : You can stretch your leg to that pint, we can't, that's pretty good.
Kame : You're cool too.
Yu : No, no, sure i have the face of a gorgeous man i think but when you are on stage you shines more than anyone. Can't win. Yeah, you're unbeatable.
Kame : He even says things he absolutely doesn't believe. So, i have an aura ?
Yu : 7 colors.
Kame : A rainbow ? (laughs)
Yu : It doesn't form one thing, the aura. It comes from everywhere. I'm the sort of person emitting only one color, if you are here, reuniting the seven aura colors, as hard as i think about it i can't compete.
Kame : you're emitting quite a lot too.
Yu : How many colors for me ?
Kame : (little voice) 7 colors.
Yu : ... (shoked face) i think it's great, including all of it.
Kame : Listen one more time, one more time...
Yu : (intrigued) for me how many colors ?
Kame : you emit a lot. One color.
Yu : ... great ! it's a gift, the fact of sliding.
Kame : i think so. There's a lot of funny people right ? But i think there's not so many serious people. (sigh)
Yu : That's why, on the contrary you should think that you are noticed by people. That's great ! You're smart !
Kame : What's that way of saying "you're surviving badly" (laughs)

-- In the show is there something which left you a strong impression ?

Yu : For me it was impossible when we had to stay silent. During the real serious scenes.
Kame : The theater bursting out laughing during a serious atmosphere.
Yu : I was really impatient. Time stood still, it was unbelievable. It restarted quickly. After that there was 2 others wonders.
Kame : That wasn't funny.
Yu : ... true. After all even if i'm alive i count for nothing.
Kame : That's extreme (laughs) just 1%
Yu : But i'm not the bad one ! When there were silent moments kame and Koki were laughing (angry)
Kame : Yeah (laughs) Then Murakami was great too.
Yu : Ah ? Why are we talking about Murakami now ? There's no reason at all ! You've just seen him right ?
Kame : Yeah (laughs) je passed by.
Yu : That's great. You know a party at its greatest that's shime we go eating this time. Cause you couldn't come last time.
Kame : shime ? is that meshi (meal in japanese) in slang ?
Yu : Yeah. That's good.
Kame : You know, in front of funny people i'm cold but in front of boring people i'm funny...
Yu : Really !? It's the result of this conversation ! Since what you've said. "The truth is let me be even if i can't really do it" There too you must have learned by observation. It became a lesson !

Junnosuke Taguchi & Tadayoshi Okura

-- Do you remember the first impression you had of each other ?
Taguchi : When was the first time we met ?
Okura : It was at a concert, 4 years and a half of that.
Taguchi : I don't remember at all.
Okura : You were dancing with Shige (Kato Shigeaki) with the newbies.
Taguchi : Ah, it was that.
Okura : You noded to my stories like it was someone else's story... (laughs) My impression of Taguchi hasn't changed. He has something particular.
Taguchi : What is it ?
Okura : Even when he made an awful joke he was acting like someone who didn't failed his joke. In his own way, he's a little weird. But every Kat-tun members are like that. When it's obvious that they've failed a joke they're acting like they didn't messed up and they play the unconcerned. (laughs)
Taguchi : Ahahahah.
Okura : It's really great not to be discouraged.
Taguchi : About Okura he's cute. Like a dog. That's it.
Okura : ... D... Dog ?
Taguchi : We become attached to him, he always comes wagging his tail.
Okura : Ah. I come and ask "Taguchi, make a joke !" He answers perfectly whether he chooses himself the subject or if it's a request.
Taguchi : But lately i'm not in good shape.
Okura : You have a slump ? No way ! (laughs)
Taguchi : Do you have any remembrance of a joke ?
Okura : ... no. I don't remember your jokes but i do remember they were funny !
Taguchi : nothing, it's ok that way. My jokes receive more "eh" of comprehension than roar of laughter.
Okura : That's true. It's "Eh well done joke" with an admiring tone.
Taguchi : But the impression doesn't last ?
Okura : Ahahahah...
Taguchi : Do you remember we talked about drums ?
Okura : Yes, unexpectedly we have many interests in common. First drums, and then...
Taguchi : Drums and drums.
Okura : Just drums ? (laughs) During Kat-tun concert you did play drums, so i asked "you played drums ?"
Taguchi : I told that i thought it was weird to try playing drums alone.
Okura : What ? Weird ?
Taguchi : When doing the rythm the entire body stays still, and there is only the neck that is moving forward and backward, looks like a chicken and it becomes weird.
Okura : Ah this is weird (laughs). And then i asked "How much did you train ?" or sometimes we talk about technical stuff... like i did tepiiiiiiid.
Taguchi : It's not "hot" it's "tepiiiiid" (laughs)

-- Did something happen during the concert ?

Okura : like fights
Taguchi : When i'm in front of people i laugh. During the presentation when i was in front of Okura we laughed too.
Okura : Yeah ! Like Taguchi is always laughing, you're trapped, so i always looked at the floor. Once our eyes met and i couldn't look elsewhere.
Taguchi : Have to laugh ^^
Okura : For the last song, even when we face each other suddenly, he's still smiling (laughs). It's continuous, he makes a smiling face. Even during this intense fighting scene, he was dancing smiling alone ?
Taguchi : Ah ? You saw me ?
Okura : I always see you. I always wonder "Why is he laughing (laughs)"
Taguchi : So you were seeing me ^^
Okura : Speaking of laugh, when the Kat-tun roar in laughter , sometimes i don't understand what was funny.
Taguchi : Maybe it has something to do with the difference between Kansai and Kanto (east/west of Japan) ? When i speak with the Kanjani there are also moments when i don't understand why everybody is laughing but i do the same and laugh with them.
Okura : Same ?
Taguchi : Cause basically i always want to be a part of the funny things. When i'm in the elevator with the Kanjani the conversations are unintentionally funny ^^
Okura : We always do this little story thing.
Taguchi : That's why i have the feeling i've improved my talk during the show. Ah and speaking like Kansai people has been contagious.
Okura : Really ? (speaking Kansaiben)
Taguchi : Really ! (also in Kansai ben)
Okura : i doubt of your prononciation (laughs)
Taguchi : Ahahahah ! It's hopeless...
Okura : You really have to do it at your own pace.

Tatsuya Ueda & Ryuhei Maruyama

-- what do you think about each other ?

Maruyama : Uep is not the type to begin a conversation so it's often me who starts speaking. He is a little antisocial (laughs)
Ueda : I'm not !
Maruyama : And on stage and in the dressing room his character is different. On stage he's cool but in the dressing room he's doing "goron goron" (casualness ?)
Ueda : Ahaha ! I do it in Maru's dressing room and i say "i'm free !"
Maruyama : That difference is cute.
Ueda : Ah ? I'm not used to speak well.
Maruyama : Right you're not (laughs) You're like animals, you don't soon become attached to people.
Ueda : That's because i'm a cat.
Maruyama : You're close to the cat. You come near only when you want to. But you have the face of a fox. And how do you see me ? I love when people evaluate me.
Ueda : Ahaha ! Maru-chan you always say boring things to joke.
Maruyama : don't say it's boring
Ueda : But you know sometimes you thrust ordinarily. During a break behind the scenes when Maru and Tacchon (Okura) go out from stage i asked if i could go out with them. He answered like usual "impossible". I wanted him to be meaner (laughs)
Maruyama : Gyahahahahah !!
Ueda : Before going on stage, maybe there was a lot of those but i wouldn't laugh. I was saying spontaneously "eh ?"
Maruyama : Ah... But i knew you were sparing of laughs...
Ueda : Maru is a nice person. When he was playing the idiot and no one was bitting him he would apologize with a "gomen ne". As he was doing that i think he's really a good person.
Maruyama : "person" it's a reserved style.
Ueda : no no (laughs) Seriously he is kind from the bottom of his heart. You want to hug him. People who do too much are a nightmare.
Maruyama : Saying that with a serious look is embarrassing.

-- Tell us about the actor's play of each other !

Ueda : The first time Maru forgot his line (laughs)
Maruyama : Ahaha ! My line flew off.
Ueda : For a moment the atmosphere was tense.
Maruyama : During 40 seconds nobody was speaking, surprised.
Ueda : It was the premiere so nobody in the audience noticed it.
Maruyama : The next scene my character had to be violent so i said my line firmly but inside my head i was apologizing "sorry everybody". But it rarely happens that sort of experience.
Ueda : Maru is not bad.
Maruyama : Having someone who protects me it's really sad. You never did mistakes ?
Ueda : No i didn't. I'm someone who does what he has to do (laughs) But, and i thought that last year too, Maru-chan and Yassan are great. You were always revising your lines in the dressing room.
Maruyama : Even with that i forgot my lines (laughs)
Ueda : But we know that you're giving your best, even if you miss a line nobody can really blame you. That's your privilege.
Maruyama : He's someone vertuous (laughs). Ah but there was also problems but this time more than before i've the feeling we got closer.
Ueda : I started writing songs with Yassan.
Maruyama : So i'm a bit jealous (laughs). You can't make a song with the bass is that so ?
Ueda : Ahaha, no no. I thought about it once, that the arrangement would be easier if i'd think about Maru's bass part. But i thought it wasn't fair to call you just for that.
Maruyama : You should have called me. It's difficult to have the bass. We have to do it together. If you have free tim i also want to go out.
Ueda : Ok. I would like to visit Osaka. I already know Tokyo so it's ok.
Maruyama : It's only for you (laughs). But i really want to make you visit many places. First in Kyoto there is this shop specialised in Fu (light-wheat bread). There the Namafu looks like Mochi it's really good.
Ueda : Really ! I want to go there
Maruyama : So i won't restrict it to Ueda, all Kat-tun...
Ueda : You should restrict ! (laughs)

Shota Yasuda x Yuichi Nakamaru

- What has changed in the other since last year ?

Yasuda : First the nose !
Nakamaru : Eh, don't joke.
Yasuda : Then his face.
Nakamaru : Even Yassan says so now... About Yassan the clothes he's wearing are his own clothes ! That's a pink sweater (laughs).
Yasuda : Ahahahaha !
Nakamaru : About colors there's only pink that i hate, more than anything else it's how someone can wear clothes that are all pink that surprises me the most.
Yasuda : But with this pink sweater i have a pair of trousers teared up and stained with paint. And the shoes are of a fluorescent green (rires).
Nakamaru : This is absolutely not an accident. You draw the attention (laughs). Then Yassan acts very well.
Yasuda : Eh, don't say that so lightly... (laughs). I've said this before but i like when Nakamaru is dancing. He's doing good poses. And when i look at his feet, he's dancing on tiptoe.
Nakamaru : Oh, you watched closely ! In fact i don't use the heel. As you'd expect from Yassan, usually it's unnoticed. He's clear-sighted. Next and i thought last year too, in the Kansai the level of acting is generally high.
Yasuda : Ah so ? I didn't think that at all. We're still novices. I think Nakamaru's beat box is great. It's the result of a training.
Nakamaru : Maru and Tacchon heard the beat box a lot but i've the feeling that they're stealing my technique (laughs).
Yasuda : You say that but we steal in Kansai !

- Have you ever had lunch together ?

Yasuda : We don't go out at all so we didn't eat together. In fact, i'd like to take him to various restaurants. Close to my home there's a really good Aki ishiyaki restaurant. Did you eat that yet ?
Nakamaru : Aki ishiyaki ? It's the version of Monjayaki with a lot of cabbage ?
Yasuda : Not at all. It's takoyaki you eat with dashi (broth).
Nakamaru : Ah, yes yes ! I eat it in Tokyo, i'll bring back some.
Yasuda : It's not something to be brought back as a souvenir.
Nakamaru : Eh... too bad. But i really want to know more about Osaka. I'd like to visit.
Yasuda : So, do you like zoos ?
Nakamaru : Eh ? I hate them, it's the smell.
Yasuda : I'd like to go to the zoo but... even when i ask someone he refuses.
Nakamaru : I absolutely refuse (laughs).
Yasuda : I asked Maru before "Let's go to Hokkaido" he said "why ?" i told him "i want to go to Asahi Yama zoo" he answered at once "i don't want to" (tears).
Nakamaru : Even Maru who goes with everyone doesn't want to go there.
Yasuda : But, it looks like Asahi Yama zoo is really good.
Nakamaru : Ah it's that internet ?
Yasuda : I don't know that internet (laughs) but children from a nursery school drawn their perfect zoo and they made the zoo with this shape.
Nakamaru : Really ! It was done according to the children requests ?
Yasuda : That's it.
Nakamaru : Eh, looks a bit interesting. I'm not interested in zoos but i like very old animals and to observe the evolution.
Yasuda : Ah, yes ! I know a place you'd like to go to. I also want to do this : diving ?
Nakamaru : That is good...
Yasuda : And i'd also like to walk on the bottom of the ocean.
Nakamaru : Go to 10 000 metres down and see abyssal fishes, fishes we've never seen before !
Yasuda : I want to see anglers, if i was born again i'd like to be an angler.
Nakamaru : Eh... not me (laughs). But i've learned another thing about Yassan.
Yasuda : I'm the sort of guy who wants to know the things that everybody don't care about.
Nakamaru : The things everybody finds uninteresting... Maybe it's like my story about space. When i start talking about it everybody hates me (laughs).
Yasuda : On the contrary i'd like to hear that.
Nakamaru : Anyway i think we could get along pretty well.
Yasuda : Gather the impossibles... So let's go to the zoo together !
Nakamaru : Looks good. Onto the next two people (laughs).

Subaru Shibutani & Koki Tanaka

-- If you could go out together where will you go ?

Shibutani : I'd like to do something common once !
Tanaka : Yeah me too ! (from the heart)
Shibutani : I want to go where Koki lives. Actually i don't remember where you're living.
Tanaka : I hear your adoration. You told me that probably 6 times already.
Shibutani : So where is it ?!
Tanaka : Now the 7th time (laugh)
Shibutani : If i could go there once i'll remember. I've the feeling that it must look like where i live. A place half rural (laugh). Even now there's a lot of "yankees" (*bad boys*).
Tanaka : At home just before the railway station on tha lo... Lolita ?
Shibutani : Lottali ! (laugh) (*traffic circle*)
Tanaka : That's it (laugh) There's a lot sitting on the traffic circle. I want to go where you always go in your neighboorhood too.
Shibutani : where i always go ? I don't do exciting stuff (laugh). In my neighboorhood, there's really nothing, we can just take the car and go out on a drive. Along the national road there's a bowling, if we go there we'll probably meet friends.
Tanaka : It's exactly the same at home ! There's a bowling along the national road too. There's only this place where we can have fun. If we go to the building next the railway station there's a clothes shop and a bookshop.
Shibutani : Eh, that's nice ! There's also a bookshop ?! Ah, at my place there's the mountain where we can go, the night view is beautiful. There's a hike to go and see that.
Tanaka : At my place there's a lot of forests and trees. There are natural springs.
Shibutani : That's great !
Tanaka : But it is written "Don't drink please"
Shibutani : That's unfair (laugh)

-- What did you feel when you played again together this time ?

Tanaka : What's great with Subaru is that he's there in the morning really early, before the show he has no stress and it doesn't change during the show ! He's a pro.
Shibutani : Koki is great too. I think what he's showing is great. I don't know if it's consciously or not but we see what he's the only one who can do. Rap for instance. That is cool. Usually.
Tanaka : Yeah i want to do things i'm the only one who can do them. Especially because all the Kat-tun members are strong characters, it wouldn't be possible in another way (laugh).
Shibutani : It happens to everyone, in a band.
Tanaka : You know about the individualities too ?
Shibutani : I don't pay attention to that. Even when i'm doing things thinking "i want to do it that way" i'm the kind of person to do unnecessary efforts (laugh) But you can sing the rap you're writting yourself that is really great. I'd like to know what kind of education you had.
Tanaka : What, education ??? (laugh)
Shibutani : Like the story of Koki ? Like "Since he's a kid he listens to hip-hop but what happened to make him become who he is now ?", I'd like to have an injection of that. I'm not one of those "kids who like music since they're young". I liked to sing without any special reason and i often went to karaoke.
Tanaka : The first cd that i bought was "Garasu no shounen" (Kinki Kids cd).
Shibutani : Hey ! Johnny's Entertainment ! Entertainement ! (pronouncing clearly Johnny's Entertainement)
Tanaka : The second one was a visual, the third hip-hop and since then i'm only listening to hip-hop.
Shibutani : Great, you're listening to cds since junior high school then. In junior high school i wasn't listening to cds. The first i bought was this song "Da yo ne".
Tanaka : That was in fashion ! (laugh) There were many versions like "So ya na !"
Shibutani : It was depending on the regions. In Nagoya it was "Daga ne". That's the reason that i got into hip-hop. I enrolled (laugh)
Tanaka : In that sense hip-hop was made for you
Shibutani : I was saying "Da yo ne" everyday, in the bathroom. I was really into it. Maybe that's why we go along well. Cause we understand each other. Da yo ne ? (isn't it ?)
Tanaka : Da yo ne ! (it is !)
