"Piccolo? Piccolo? ugh where did that little green trouble maker get to?" Ran asked as she looked for Piccolo
Piccolo was off in the woods like usual and like usual forgot to tell Ran. Piccolo was in a tree reaching for something it was a flower Ran had seen earlier and piccolo as trying to get it he reached out farther when a little lizard growled
"Its ok Petre its not that far," Piccolo smiled at a little the small lizard like dragon who had became his friend after a while
"Piccolo?" Ran shouted
"Huh?" Piccolo said then the branch he was on broke
He hit the ground with a loud thud Ran turned and saw him lying on the ground
"Piccolo!" Ran said
She ran over to him and picked him up she cradled him in her arms trying to wake him up he was unconscious she quickly carried him back to their home which was now a capsule house since Ran went into town the other day she carried him in a laid him down on the bed she got a wet rag and placed it on his head
"Wake up Piccolo," Ran said softly
Piccolo stirred then opened his eyes
"Where am I?" he asked
"Your at home sweetie do you know who I am?" Ran asked
"Yeah your my mom at least you were last time I checked," Piccolo said and smiled and kissed his fore head Piccolo smiled
"What were you doing in that tree?" she asked
"Trying to get you that flower you liked," Piccolo said
"Aw sweetie I don't need a flower but thank you any way," Ran smiled and pushed his antennae back gently Piccolo sighed and drifted of to sleep Ran's smile faded every time he fell asleep he had horrid dreams about his father Ran hated it but something inside her wanted to meet this Evil Piccolo Domaioh the so called 'demon king' Ran giggled slightly
"Ya know if he wasn't evil he'd probably very handsome just like my little boy," Ran sighed. If Domaioh was really evil and Piccolo was the exact copy that meant he was going to try to defeat Goku when the time comes Piccolo started whimpering Ran leaned down and kissed his cheek
"Sleep well little one," she said and left the little 8 year olds room
(10 year later)
"Come on Petre bet cha cant catch me!" Piccolo joked and flew into the air Petre growled and chased after him.
"Hahahaha come on Petre haha!" Piccolo said as he flew around a tree. Petre chased close behind on the ground
"Haha woooohoooo come on Petre!" Piccolo laughed as he did a flip in mid air
"HEY STUNT BOY BREAK TIME!" Ran called out. Piccolo skidded to a stop then smiled and flew toward Ran.
"Hey mom!" Piccolo smiled as he flew around her. Ran watched with amusement Piccolo acted more like a three year old toddler than a 18 year old teen.
"Slow down you making me dizzy!" Ran laughed. Piccolo smiled and landed in front of her Ran looked up into his eyes he was about a foot taller than she was.
"My gosh your huge," Ran smiled. Petre came up to the two.
"Haha sorry Petre ya lost again," Piccolo chuckled. Petre growled and stopped.
"I'll get your food in a second Petre Piccolo if you want you can grab something to eat even Nameks need food occasionally," Ran smiled. Piccolo nodded and walked in Petre sat down waving his tail Ran pulled out a capsule and threw it a large pile of fruit appeared Petre gurgled happily Ran walked inside where piccolo was eating an orange she walked up to him and kissed him on the cheek he smiled.
"I'm gonna go train for a while," he said
"Why do you have to you already said you wouldn't fight Goku to the death just get stronger than him and you already are," she said.
"Yeah but well," Piccolo had to think about it for a while "something tells me if I don't train something bad will happen one day," Ran sighed and nodded. After a while Piccolo hadn't come home Ran got worried and went to look for him she found him he was asleep but she thought he was unconscious.
"Piccolo! Piccolo wake up!" she said shaking him. Piccolo opened one eye and looked around.
"Are you ok do you know where you are?" Ran asked. Piccolo slowly shook his head.
"Piccolo do you know ho I am?" she asked.
"Uh pretty lady?" he asked unsure.
"Um do you know what two pulse two is?" she asked.
"Two pulse two? Aw that's an easy one," he said "its Montana!" he said in a stupid tone.
"You little brat!" Ran said as she got up.
"Haha I'm sorry mom," Piccolo chuckled and kissed her on the cheek then he picked her up and flew home. When they arrived home Piccolo yawed very loudly Ran smiled, "Aw you sleepy?" she asked .
"Maybe," Piccolo said
He hugged Ran gently Ran patted his back and motioned for him to come in Piccolo followed.
"I'll see you in the morning baby," Ran said and kissed his cheek. They both went to their separate rooms but hiding outside their building was a lone figure.
"THEY MUST BE DESTROYED!" he said focusing his one eye. He snuck in to Ran's room he quickly grabbed her causing Ran to be woken up.
"Huh? HEY! PUT ME DOWN! AAAAAAHHHHHH!" Ran yelled! Piccolo jerked out of his sleep!
"RAN!" He yelled and jumped out of his bed
"PICCOLO HELP ME!" Ran shouted! Piccolo ran to the door when he was greeted by a bright flash of light he dodged it but it hit the capsule home which burst into flames!
"PICCOLO!" Ran shouted as her attack flew off with her. Piccolo jumped into the sky and followed!
"LET HER GO YOU BASTARD!" Piccolo yelled! Piccolo then was hit by a large Ki and was knocked unconscious...when he awoke Ran was shaking him.
"Piccolo?" she said out of breath.
"Mmom?" he asked. Ran smiled and nodded Piccolo sat up then he saw it a large hole in Ran's shoulder!
"RAN! YOU'RE HURT!" Piccolo cried.
"No, no I'm ok Piccolo!" Ran said. Piccolo lifted Ran up in his arms and began to fly to a cave.
"Ran open you eyes!" Piccolo said in shock!
"Not so loud!" Ran mumbled as her eyes opened. Piccolo cradled Ran in his arms then sat her down on a smooth rock to use as a makeshift bed Ran lay there quietly for a while smiling.
"Ran what do I do we have to fix this wound," Piccolo said reaching out to touch it.
"No!" Ran says slapping his hand away "Piccolo I'm sorry but-"
"Ran let me help you! YOUR GONNA DIE OF BLOOD LOSS!" Piccolo said a little harsher than expected.
"Piccolo, I'm going to die, its time for you to be on your own I'm sorry" Ran said a tear fell down her cheek.
"Ran no I need you with me!" Piccolo said.
"Piccolo if I stay alive I'm am endangering the world" Ran said.
"What are you talking about?" Piccolo asked.
"If I stay alive I am denying you some one you will grow to love," Ran said.
"Ran you're delirious!" Piccolo said.
"No Kami told me I can't tell you anything except if I stay your personality will never change and that one person will not be able to find their true power or a new friend," she said.
"Ran no one can replace you!" Piccolo said as a tear rolled down his cheek.
"I know sweetheart but I have to I'm sorry," she said. Piccolo pulled her into a hug and started to cry.
"You can't leave me I don't like being alone" he sobbed.
"Good bye...I love you, my son" Ran whispered.
"I love you too Mom" Piccolo said and Ran quietly died in Piccolo's arms. Piccolo took his cape and wrapped it around them both. Then Ran's body began to disappear Piccolo looked in shock as she disappeared from his arms.
"NANI?!" Piccolo asked
"She was needed elsewhere," Kami said as he walked into the cave.
"What do you mean old man?" Piccolo spat.
"The supreme Kai needed her" Kami said.
"I DON'T CARE IF THE GRAND CREATOR HIMSELF NEEDED HER! I NEEDED HER MORE!" Piccolo yelled.
"I'm sorry what is done is done" Kami said. Piccolo's eyes stung from the tears he was holding back but it was no use he fell to the floor and began crying.
"She was the only person who loved me! she was the only person who cared for me! SHE WAS THE ONLY PERSON WHO WANTED ME! NO ONE ELSE CARES! RAN COME BACK!" Piccolo yelled. Kami placed his hand on Piccolo's shoulder but Piccolo knocked it away.
"Go away old man!" he growled. Kami left Piccolo alone in the cave. all was quiet for a while until a soft sound could be heard from the cave.
"Come stop you crying it'll be alright just take my hand hold it tight I will protect you from all around you I will be here don't you cry" Piccolo quietly sang. He sat in the cave with no one there, no one to comfort him if he had a horrid dream again, no one to sleep beside him and make him feel safe, he was alone forever.
"Ran please come back I need you" he said a slowly fell asleep
