It was a cool day outside Ran awoke rather early she looked in her arms Piccolo was still asleep she smiled down at the strange child she gently stroked the side of his face. Piccolo's eyes opened slowly he yawned Ran smiled at him Piccolo stared up at her with a bored expression,
"Hey sweetie" ran smiled and placed her hand near piccolos face
Piccolo caught her thumb in his mouth and began to chew on it lightly Ran chuckled and watched as he gnawed on he finger then he bit down hard with one of his fangs breaking the skin
"Ow!" Ran said jerking her finger out of his mouth
She stared at her bleeding finger Piccolo began to laugh
"Oh you think its funny do you?" Ran asked a little mad
Piccolo chuckled
"Well its not it hurt!" Ran growled
Piccolo laughed even louder Ran reached down and pinched Piccolo's hand
"Ah!" Piccolo yelped and jerked his hand back
"See its not so funny when it happens to you now is it?" Ran asked
Piccolo growled and looked at his hand it left a little mark but it wasn't bleeding he growled at her the sniffed a small tear fell down is face Ran felt horrible
"Oh Piccolo I'm sorry I have a short temper" she said trying to touch Piccolo's head
Piccolo snapped his teeth at her and growled. Ran managed to gently touch Piccolo's head that distracted him. Ran picked up his hand he turned around and bit her again, Ran jerked her hand back, and started to cry because it hurt Piccolo smirked, but then a memory of his Father's flashed his mind blood meant death! But this lady kept him warm he didn't want her to die he was just playing when he bit her the first time! Ran continued to cry when she felt something tug her shirt she looked up, and saw Piccolo staring at her with a concerned look,
"What do you want?" She growled
Piccolo pulled his head back in fear he was just a baby after all but he tugged her shirt again Ran looked at him Piccolo gulped and bowed his head,
"Sawee" he said lightly
"*Sniff* what?" Ran asked
"Picco sawee," he said a little louder
"You spoke," Ran said quietly
Piccolo cocked his head
"You said your first words!" Ran smiled
Piccolo raised an eye ridge
"Huh?" He asked
Ran smiled
"Its ok Piccolo I forgive you," Ran smiled
Piccolo smiled back then Ran pulled him closer and hugged him Piccolos eyes widened he looked up at Ran who had her eyes closed he smiled and closed his eyes what ever this lady was doing it felt good Ran sniffed the noticed Piccolo was wearing a purple outfit.
"Where'd you get this when I found you, you had no clothes," Ran asked
Piccolo looked down he didn't know where it came from either he looked back at Ran with a questioned look then saw her hand
"Gah!" He said and pointed to her hand
"Hmm oh don't worry," Ran said and sat Piccolo down on the ground and got her backpack and dug around in it
Piccolo became curious and wanted to look inside. Ran saw him as he tried to stretch him self to be able to see, she chuckled and placed the bag on the floor. Piccolo smiled and looked inside Ran found some bandages, and wrapped them around her hand. Then she heard a strange clanking sound she looked up, and saw piccolo biting a bottle a perfume she had,
"No piccolo you might break it," she said and took the bottle
He looked at her with a look of whys it so important Ran smiled and unscrewed the top
"Ya wanna smell?" She asked holding the bottle in front of him
He sniffed it then sneeze very loudly Ran giggled and placed it in her bag along with the unused bandages then she heard Piccolo whimpering she looked at him his was chewing on his finger
"Oh are you teething?" Ran asked she searched in her bag and found a small blue blanket "here this was my son's you can have it now," Ran handed the blanket to Piccolo
Piccolo stared at it then looked up at Ran; he smiled, and reached his hands up to her. Ran picked Piccolo up Piccolo wrapped his small arms around Ran's neck, Ran did the same to Piccolo's small form. Piccolo sighed and smiled, and then Ran wrapped the blanket around him so he could take a nap.
A little later that day Piccolo woke up and rubbed his stomach then started to whimper Ran looked at him
"Are you hungry?" She asked
"He only needs water" a voice said
"*Gasp* Kami!" Ran said turning around
Piccolo glared at the old man
"I see he already hates me," Kami chuckled
"What was that about him only needing water?" Ran asked
"He's a Namek and we only need water that's probably what he wants," Kami smiled
"Why are you here?" She asked
"I came to make sure your alright an now that is see you are I am quite sure you can handle Piccolo" Kami smiled
"Oh well he's actually quite sweet," Ran smiled
Piccolo made a sound in protest
"Look Ran if you ever need to know anything just think of talking to me and I can hear you," Kami said and disappeared
Ran blinked then heard Piccolo whimper she grabbed a bottle and filled it with water then brought it back to Piccolo. She picked him up and gently pace the bottle to his mouth. Piccolo took the bottle in his mouth and began to drink the contents, after he was done he made a soft sigh, then curled up Ran smiled, and laid him down in a crib she made for him. She smiled as she watched he sleep.
