Common and some Uncommon Types of Satanism

Satan as the dark force which motivates nature and known creation; this can also inclusive to evolution, quantum mechanics, and laws of nature. Usually described as SAT=Being and TAN=Becoming.

Satan as the symbol of human individuality and independence from divine authority. Also can be seen as a symbol of rebellion.

Satan as a Christian manifestation of an an ancient deity, Set, Pan, Lucifer, Shaitan or other forms such as fallen angels who were once deities. This should not be confused with the idea that Satan is ALL those deities.

Satan as a magickal symbol, as a reservior of magickal energy to be tapped by the magician.

Satan as a Teaching figure, similar with African Diasporic viewpoints.

Satan as one of many gods, whom is literally worshipped henotheistically without denying the existence of others. Otherwise known as Theistic Satanism or Traditional Satanism.

Satan as the gnostic serpent of wisdom that freed mankind from an oppressive demiurge named Ialdoboath (equated to YHVH), and is inclusive to other aspects of Dark Gnosticism or Spiritual Satanism.

Satan as concurrant or combined with Yezidic religious beliefs.

Satan as the unconscious aspect of the human mind. Also Satan is seen as governing human's carnal desires, ego, and other unconscious impulses.

Satan viewed as an impersonal force of chaos (both benevolent and manevolent) by some Chaos magicians.

Satan as a symbol/deity compatible with Lovecraftian mythos (in other words, calling Cthulhu). One may be interested to know that there's an Islamic spirit called "Khadulhu" whom guides people to abandon their previous religion.

Satan as "muse of civilization" who prompts change, evolution, and creativity of humanity.
