| 1. Daughters of Ruth the Moabite: January 9, 2005On Sunday, January 9, 2005, we began our discussion with who is Ruth? Reading from the Harper's Bible Dictionary, 1952, we established that Ruth means "satiation." Satiation means: to satisfy fully or to excess. Ruth was/is a Moabite woman who married Mahlon, a member of the Judahite family of Elimelech and Naomi, after the family moved to Moab to escape the famine in Bethlehem. After the death of her father-in-law, brother-in-law and husband. Ruth became Naomi's daughter. She accompanied Naomi back to Bethlehem and secured food for herself and her mother-in-law and summon a son named Obed, which is short for 'obedience;" and in Moorish term 'obey,' from which the term/name 'Bey' originates meaning governor of the Land. |
| 2. Rights vs. Anti-Semiticism"Not giving head to jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turns from the truth." Titus 1:14.We're here today because recently our contract was cancelled with Radio One because a number of individuals who claim to be of the Jewish practice, alleged that we were making anti-semitic remarks about them. We believe that Radio One acted without proof that what was said was offensive, that we have irresponsibly slandered a group of people or that we have lied concerning statements that were made. |
| 3. Christmas 2004, & its Aftermath"I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a covenant between me and the Earth." Gen. 9:13.The beginning of Earth's seasons has to do with a relationship between the Earth's orbit and the Sun. Winter in the Northern Hemisphere corresponds to the Earth having reached the point of its yearly course where the Sun appears to be at its lowest position in relations to the equator. This position matches up with the Sun's entrance into the Tropical zodiac sign Capricorn. The Earth is titled about 23 degrees. If this were not true, the Sun would appear to be on the equator at all times during the year, and our weather pattern would be different. Since, the Earth is tilted, neither the South nor the North Poles are pointed toward the Sun. Because, the Earth like the Moon has a wobble, the wobble is responsible for the change in direction for what is considered our North Star. At the present time, our North Pole points to the Star of Polaris. "It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up to the Moon, nor can the night outstrip the day, each just swim along in its own orbit according to Law." Sura 36:40. |
| 4. Week 4 - Astronomy Greetings, Sisters & Brothers. This week, I'll like to share with you Astronomy as a fact of Life. Once we become in tune with the Universe, some of those beats of burden that we carry with us will begin to disappear from our lives. Our day began this morning at 4:50AM with Mars rising. The significance of the rotation of the planets are important to us here in America because it is us who will be impacted by their rotation in the next few months leading up to the Solar eclipse on April 8. |
| 5. Week 5 - The Qur'an Greetings, Sisters & Brothers; welcome to the Daughters of Ruth Moabite weekly telephone conference. Several weeks ago, I was asked if we will explore other sources for information concerning Ruth (Truth). I explained that I'll research and report back to you my findings. The Qur'an I used was authored by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. The Book contains 1862 pages. Neither the name "Moab" nor the name "Ruth" will be found on any page in the Book. It mentions David and Solomon who we establish are the great-grand son and the great-great-grandson's of Ruth. In the Bible the only genealogy that connects her with Moab. Her name is:
Ruth the Moabites. Gen. 19:37 describes the birth of
Moab by Lot his father and Lot's elder daughter; whose name it doesn't give, but Dr. Malik York's Tablets call her "Libnah." (click on her hyperlinked name to view her picture and the Moab hyperlink to view Moab's picture. Click your BACK button to return to this list of Lessons.) |
