Schools were already then!
Unfortunately at least for now I will not be able to provide you with the actual hieroglyphs as they were drawn but I can tell you some meanings of the words.
Did you know that at first there were almost 3000 hieroglyphs! Of course later, when people had to write everything a lot faster the number of them fell to about 600. Just imagine how long did boys have to go to school just to lear how to write! But they did go. There was a saying that a father used to tell his son:
"Where have you been?"
"Nowhere, just wondering around!" answered the son.
"Why are you wondering around tehn?! Go to school, if you will know how to write, you won't know what does the hard life of a farmer mean and your hands will be clean!" told father.
In fact, only the boys (not girls) from well situated and wealthy families could afford their sons going to schools.
Boys weren't allowed to write on the papyruses already in the beggining. At first they wrote on the broken ceramic's parts, then, when they had learned something, they wrote  on clay tablets and only after that, when these young men were able to write quite good, they were allowed to write on papiruses. There were two adults in the classroom - a teacher and a man with a lash from a hippo's leather. He beated those boys who were lasy and who didn't listen. There was a saying:
"Boys have their ears on their backs!"
But in the end, it was a big honour to become a clerk!
