:) Well, these kind of buildings were tipical for egyptians, as you can see, they are large, mighty, when a man (a mortal, which was very important to add) entered this temple or tomb, he had to feel how powerfull are the gods that they have this kind of places built for them. But note that temples in Ancient Egypt were not the houses of gods but places where they were honoured and where sacrifises were made for them. Not every man could enter the temple, only the priests, pharaoh and the queen, but there were also rooms in temples (those that were the most distant ones, very far from the entance) where almost nobody was allowed to enter because it was the place where the stetue of god was, the very holly place.
