Gianni Versace
Of all the 80s-inspired collections in Milan, Donatella Versace's was the coolest, slickest, the most fabulously decadent and the most confident. Everything was designed to get a girl noticed from the dresses in acid bright colors with wide, black leather belts to patent-leather pencil skirts and matching jackets. Grecian-style jersey dresses had full bat wings, the fabric twisted, gathered and split to make the most of the figure underneath. Movie premier musts included black sequined, batwing one-shoulder draped dresses slashed to the hip, a blue sequined sparkle dress and a long sheath in pink Swarovski mesh with chevron stripes. Versace at its dazzling, super sexy best.
