Welcome to My Family History Web Page

I have been researching my Family History for about 15 years.

Every piece of information is finding another part to the puzzle, even small details means another clue.

Sometimes the information is quite easy to find, some is very time consuming and can be right in front of you but you can't see it. Some times you get lost, have bugs bite you (when you are looking for grave stones that are covering in never ending weeds and brush.), and you have a staring contest with huge Deer that come out of the fields of corn that are 10 ten tall. Walking a quarter mile to have the isolated grave yard all fenced and protected for a hundred & fifty years. Or finding the right cemetery and it is now a cow pasture and the head stones are all lying on their sides. Sometimes you find the cemetery and the State has paid to lay your loved one to rest but they didn't think it was important enough to mark the grave. I've even found a long lost Great Uncle that disappeared and was declared dead 6 years after he died in a State hospital 50 miles away from his home, he had lived there for 18 years and his family did not know it.

Some times you laugh about the information you find and some times you cry. I believe we all need to sit down and think about this.................... If it wasn't for our ancestors and the hardship they endured we would not be here.

Think about............... could any of us do what they did?

Could you give up your family, pack only food, blankets and some clothes, and travel someplace you have never been knowing you won't been back, bury your husband, wife, and children along the way. Encounter enemy's that want to kill you, survive the winters without much food, work until you drop. All though our ancestors survived this I'm not sure many of us, if any at all could do it today. We as American's are pampered with the luxuries that our ancestors didn't even know was possible.

I give thanks to all my ancestors that made possible for me to be here today!

Walk through this Door with me, so you too can learn about our Family's.
