    Full Review:
Polyphony Digital released one of the greatest games ever, Gran Turismo 3, and now a "spin-off" version with new concept cars is available. Aiming to attract a wider audience, including "quick-dip arcade racers" Concept is priced competitively as a result of its new slim style.
    Gameplay
With the Gran Turismo mode stripped out completely, Concept is an arcade racer only, and as a result is a toned down version of GT3. Being more easily accessible certainly helps the game if you never liked the Gran Turismo series, but the tweak and fiddle tuning features from before are gone, leaving a much more streamlined game.

There are many new cars, and a couple of tracks making a return from Gran Turismo 2, giving GT fans enough temptation, but the challenge is short lived as the game is easy to complete in a single weekend. The licence tests are much easier, and the races themselves less taxing than before. Fortunately the two player mode is enjoyable, and the new features like the "pod race" are a bit of fun, but this is not a game designed to take over your life.

    Graphics
The graphics in Gran Turismo 3 were incredible. They made everything else look fuzzy and pointless. The cars in GT3 were actually prettier than they were in real life, it was that amazing. The tracks were also brilliantly constructed and heavily detailed, though they weren't quite as great as the cars. Being totally honest, Concept does little to improve on this. It is perhaps slightly sharper, bringing Gran Turismo 3 even further, but the difference is not enough alone to make the game a worthwhile purchase.
    Sound
Similary, the sound is practically identical, with only a small handful of new songs mixed in amongst the familiar tunes of GT3. The car engine noises, menu options chimes and everything else are all the same as well, but this is what you'd expect from a game that is not a true sequel, merely a budget range special arcade edition.
    Overall
With Gran Turismo 3 available in platinum, GT Concept has a hard challenge ahead of it. The low price and great new selection of cars will certainly help, and this game is ideal for those who prefer arcade style racing to the realistic tuning of GT3. Gran Turismo fans will also enjoy the chance to try out every new car possible, but it really is only an update, not a true sequel.
    Score
    Gameplay
No Gran Turismo mode? Odd, but this is a game for the arcade boys.
    7.2
    Graphics
Looks lovely, possibly better than GT3.
    9.8
    Lastability
Tiny in comparison to GT3, but still lots of cars to unlock.
    7.0
    Sound
Its all good, but its all the same.

    Overall
Perfection gets its heart torn out, still fun though.

    Alternatively:
You could also check out Gran Turismo 3, for the full Gran Turismo experience. GT3 comes with all the modes, and most of the cars. It also has more tracks, and far more to do. Given that its also available in platinum, its a bargain in comparison. It looks virtually as good as Concept, making it the best racing game of this type.
