Some Favorites

Here are some of  the favorite places I have seen in my decades of travel.  No matter what other people say, I love Paris and would like to keep going back to the city of lights, mystery and culture. This tops my list.

Paris

Since I live in a tropical country we dont get the four seasons so like a kid we always marvel at snow and at Titlis in Switzerland you have them for a long time not just on winter. Its the highest peak at Central Switzerland.

Switzerland

Greece

Salzburg

Vienna

Rothenburg ob de Tauber

This is one of the cities along the so called Romantic route in Germany and I felt the best of all. One can just ride one of those romantic route buses early morning from Wurzburg or nearby and reach the end which is Munich in the evening (or vice-versa). They stop in interesting sites for a few minutes but longest stop is in Rothenberg since it has the most picturesque view of all. We stayed overnight in this quaint place to savor the ambiance and see most of the attractions.

Sevilla

I guess the south of any country is usually prettier than the rest. Well that is mostly my experience in my trips to Europe and Spain is no different.  One usually does the Grandada-Cordoba- Sevilla route but I think Sevilla is the prettiest of all. We were lucky to be able to visit during the the World Expo in 1998 and the place was spruced up to the hilt.

Positano

A tiny picturesque village nestled on the hills along the Amalfi Coast, South of Italy, it is usually known to be the hideaway of the rich and famous during summer. It has a special character of its own and surely I would love to visit it again one day.
