SPIRITUAL CENTER

The people of Talmon have taken upon themselves to build a synagogue, which will stand as a monument to their love of G-d, community and the Land of Israel. The building's design incorporates these themes, blending into the natural scenery whule acting as the physical focal point of Talmon.

The synagogue will act as the spiritual center of Talmon and will contain, in addition to the prayer hall and Talmud Torah, a library, study hall and lecture rooms for the daily adult Jewish study classes.

The facade of the synagogue was designed by the renowned architect Tuvia Katz to blend in with the hilly landscape, while acting as the physical focal point of Talmon. The synagogue will be visible from afar and will announce the presence of a Jewish community in the land of Israel.

The main floor is divided into multiple segment, thus providing for the manifold spiritual needs of Talmon's community. This floor will contain the main ptayer hall seating 450, the study hall and Judaic library. The building was designed with an emphasis on easy access to all of its sections

The women's section, surrounding the main prayer hall from above, will seat 240. The gallery was acoustically designed to insure that the Cantor's voice may be heard clearly throughout the Women's section.

The interior of the building was carefully designed to fully meet the needs of those who benefit from using the spiritual center. Each of the details, including size, lay out and acoustics were considered in developing a structure that would serve as inspiration.

Through the generous contribution received from residents, family members, friends, the State, and the other supporters of Talmon, the dream is on the way to becoming a reality.

Construction on the project site has advanced to the point where the building is starting to take shape, and every day less and less imagination is needed to see how the center will look when completed. The final stages are in reach, but we need your help to get us there.
