Advice for during and after the HSC

January 2001 - I have now finished the HSC and am of to UNSW doing Engineering. I received 96.85 in my HSC.

Remember the HSC is the means to an end, it is only to allow you to get into uni or to get a job. Once you have either of those it doesn't mean much.
Don't stress during your HSC year, just write down what you have to do, put the work in, and remember you will have about 3 months holiday after it finishes.
If you don't get the mark you want there are many other ways of getting to where you want to go, like enrolling in a different course at the same uni (with a lower entry score) and changing over after 1 year. Uni's are very flexible.
Start gathering information about different uni's and having a think about where you want to go during all of year 12, at the start of the year it seems like a long way of but I can tell you it arrives amazingly fast.
Don't stress to much about having your final choices into UAC before the end of September as you have until the end of the year to change your preferences.
Find out about scholarships for uni's, as the closing dates are normally at the same time as for UAC
