UPDATE: Our new dog, Bear, is here.

NOTE: This is my first web page. I spent half a day reading how to use HTML and this page is my learning tool. It will be upgraded continuously. So to all you critics, if you don't like my page, then hit your back button.

YO, UPDATE COMING SOON. Now updated on 2-21-2001 with Minty Fresh Scent. Lean close to your monitor, mmmm, smell the minty fresh scent? NO? Neither did I.

NASCAR is my favorite form of racing, although I also like F1 and Indy CART/PPG. I do not like IRL because of the way they have been handling the qualifying for the INDY 500, i.e. limiting the number of CART/PPG drivers allowed in the race the past few years.

NASCAR
NASCAR is a booming sport in the United States. It is growing faster than ever before, with more fans and new tracks being built all across the country. It is no longer just a "Southerner's" sport.

Dale Earnhardt 1951 - 2001

Dale Earnhardt died at the 2001 Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 18, 2001. Dale was in third place on the final lap in the final turn, behind Michael Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Dale fell back to protect Michael, a driver of one of the cars Dale owned, and to protect son Dale Jr.'s 2nd place spot. Dale was in the middle line, so to speak, below Ken Schrader, above Sterling Marlin, and just in front of Rusty Wallace. Sterling Marlin tapped the rear driver side corner of Dale's black number 3, causing the rear-end to slide to the right. (See below - coincidence???). Dale went down onto the apron of the track, then back up the track and slammed into Ken Schrader's number 36 car. Both cars ended up in the wall, Dale's at a 45 degree angle, at 180 mph. Dale apparently died instantly.

To the Earnhardt Family: I am deeply saddened by the loss of Dale Earnhardt. He was my most favorite driver of any motor sport. I cried for hours after hearing the news, I didn't hear of it until after the replay of the IROC race on Sunday. Dale did so much for NASCAR, and the sport of autoracing, by promoting, winning, getting out there and turning people on to racing. Dale always had that smile, that grin, and we can't forget the glasses. He had a great sense of humor, as shown repeatedly during speed weeks this year, joking with all of the commentators, especially Darrell Waltrip. My thoughts and prayers are for you all. God speed Dale Earnhardt, God speed.

NOTE: The following section has not yet been updated, and may not be. I may leave it as is, to preserve my thoughts of a better time, that is, when Dale was alive and racing.

My favorite driver is Dale Earnhart who drives the Black Chevy Monte Carlo which bears the number 3. Dale did not have a good year in 1997, he won no races. But this is overshadowed by the fact that Dale is one of the winningest racers of all time and holds 7 NASCAR Winston Cup Championship titles. In 1996, Dale walked away from a terrible accident at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Dale's black number 3, after being tapped in the rear driver side corner by Sterling Marlin, slammed into the wall at something like 170 mph. His Monte Carlo was then hit and flipped over onto it's roof and was hit again by several other cars as it spun around down the length of the front stretch. Dale walked away from the accident after being helped out of the car by emergency workers. He had a broken collar bone and several broken/bruised ribs.
DALE WON DAYTONA in 1998!

Adam Petty died in a severe crash on May 12th, 2000. The 4th generation Petty had a bright future in NASCAR, both Busch League and Winston Cup. Adam was the son of Kyle, who is the son of Richard, who is the son of Lee. Lee Petty won the first Daytona 500. Richard....What can you say? He's won it all, his car is in the Smithsonian Institution. Kyle...doesn't do so well, but...there's hope. Adam? Only he knows what his potential was. God rest his soul.

JEFF,phhhhttttt

My least favorite driver is Jeff Gordon, who drives the rainbow colored number 24. Yes, I admit, Jeff is a skilled driver and has 2 championship titles to his credit, but I don't like him. Watch for him to use dirty tactics when he's losing. Several times in 1997, the use of some of these tactics caused him to bump to wall himself. He deserved it. And what's with those sunglasses? Jeff has won way too much in 1997 and 1998, yeah, he's good, but something ain't right for him to continually win. Hmmmm. Something wrong since the "Rainbow Warriors" left? Yep, Jeff can't win without them. HA HA HA!!!

CART/PPG Indy
My favorite driver in CART was Alex Zanardi. Anyone who saw him race at Cleveland in 1997 would have to agree that Alex is an exceptional driver. Using his extreme driving skills and every inch of track, and some grass, Alex came back from being a lap down and blew by the others to win the race.
BAD NEWS for Zinardi fans: Alex went to F1 last year. Unfortunately he did not fair well. He drove for Williams, the same man who is responsible for the death of the great Ayrton Senna. Alex left Williams after a horrible year of racing. Williams didn't put up the cash to build a good team, and Alex struggled, with cars that just blew up from under him, cars that should not have even been on the track.

Alex Zanardi returns to CART in 2001. More info to follow soon.

Click here for the official Alex Zanardi site.

Take a Number 1 performing CART driver, put him in a Williams, and don't support him. What is Formula 1 trying to do? Besides ruining a top notch driver's career?

Mr Williams, do us all a favor and leave F1. You are already responsible for the death of one driver, (though the Italian Court in so many unsaid words cleared you of the crime since you suddenly came down with an illness), and you are responsible for destroying the careers of so many others. You do not deserve an F1 franchise and should immediately be removed from autoracing. But this is my opinion only, (along with any other F1 fan), but is in no way an accusation or attempt at removing Mr. Williams from Formula 1 or F1A. (this is my disclaimer, Mr. Williams)

Check out the Ayrton Senna Files, the truth is revealed at Senna Files .

F1
Formula 1 is probably the most famous form of racing due to it's world-wide audience. I really don't have a favorite F1 driver, but David Coultard has done very well this year.
