Story It was a beautiful night out as a girl walked out of the café and headed home to an old broken down church. She stopped right in front of the ivory covered iron gate and looked inside at the tallest peak of the old church. There stood someone “a demon” as she slipped into the church grounds the demon vanished from its spot and suddenly appeared behind her. “Good evening sorrowful angel!” The demon whispered in her ear as he wrapped his arms around her slim waist, “Lovely evening tonight isn’t it?” “Good evening yourself demon” she turned herself to look at him, “or should I say Bradley?” she smiled evilly. “How many times do I have to say this. Don’t call me by that damn name!” he stated with annoyance, “You’re going to have to pay for that.” Freeing herself from his grasp and took to the sky her grayish wings lifting her higher and higher in the clouds. “You’ll have to catch me first.” Extending his wings he whispered to no one in particular, “I love a challenge.” He took flight and chased after the angel who thought that she was a demon different from everyone else. Catching up to her he tackled the beautiful angel to a cloud pinning her down. “Now, my princess, how should I punish you?” He said leaning closer to her face so that he was only mere inches away from it. “Your call,” she told him while giving him the evilest of grins. So evil that the devil himself couldn’t master. She was good at this. Closing that distance between their lips. Out of nowhere, something grabbed the demon by the shoulders and threw him off of Mary; swinging him around. “Well, well, well! If it isn’t the angel of battle Michael,” Bradley said spitting on Michael and giving him a mischief smirk. Michael just stared at him looking like he was ready to kill at any time. While Mary was leaning on her elbows looking at two of the best-looking guys on heaven and earth she thought to herself, "Man, if only they didn’t want to kill each other whenever they see one another.” She arose and flew over to where Michael was. “Why did you have to go and do that for?” she asked, wrapping her arms around his waist nesting her head down on his muscular arm, looking up into his eyes. “Don’t you ever come near her again do I make myself perfectly clear?” Michael said glaring daggers at the demon. “Yeah, yeah, whatever,” he said waving him off, “see you Mary-Chan.” Mary nodded in response then he left. Michael was so tense that the girl could tell just by looking at his eyes not to mention that his entire body was tense to the touch. “Michael, why do always have to do this?” she said, looking down into the world below them. “You know we have a job to do,” he said looking strait ahead. “I know we must keep the demons out of this world. I’ve been known for that since I was born. But still, Brad wouldn’t harm a fly. You know that!” She moved to the cloud she was previously pinned down on and sat on it holding her head on her knees. “I just don’t understand why you always have to be like this every time.” “Come on we’ve got to get back,” he said grabbing her arm and pulling her from where she was sitting. “No Michael! Listen to me for once,” she said pulling her arm away, looking him strait in his eyes. Her catlike green turned to a devilish yellow. “I want to know what the hell’s your problem Michael. You were never like this when we first met 3 years ago.” “Mary come on, we got to get back,” he said taking off into the heavens. Sitting on the cloud, Mary was so very confused about what was going on, her whole life was confusing. Why she was born, why the council had her fall in love with a demon and an angel. “Why does it seem that this shit always happens to me,” she thought, looking up into the clouds, “Oh well, better get back before something else happens.” In the god’s home, Isis the Egyptian goddess of magic was looking out of her window. “You called for me, Aunt?”
