>The Influences of Moon Signs
on Magickal Workings

Moon in Aries: (masculine, fire sign) Excellent for new ventures—especially for financial, medical, or construction-related ones. Good for magick concerning the self and personality. NOT conducive to inner-plane endeavors (like pathworking, dreamwork, or astral projection. Aries is connected with impatience and dominance.

Moon in Taurus: (feminine, earth sign) Good time for spellwork dealing with issues of trust, loyalty, and personal finances. Makes us protective and stubborn. Brings out our artistic natures. Spells to increase one’s sensual nature are at their best. A good time for magick concerning vehicles and other possessions. Spells started at this time are often hard to "shut down".

Moon in Gemini:(masculine, air sign) Excellent time for spells concerning relatives, communication, mass-media, ferreting out one’s enemies, studies, street saavy and healing. Moon in Gemini is fickle, so don’t jump to conclusions about the success of your spells.

Moon in Cancer: (feminine, water sign) Most fertile sign. Virtually any spell started now will grow favourably, especially psychic or inner-plane workings. Best sign for dealing with home environment, fertility, pregnancy, children, end of life, or emotions. Affects planting or growing favorably. A good time for magick for any type of growth or increase. Cancer brings our protective nature and the imagination flourishes.

Moon in Leo: masculine, fire sign) Most barren sign. Rules pleasure, love affairs, prosperity, leadership, entertainment, celebration, and celebrity. A good time to work magick on behalf of others--especially one's pets--or to do binding spells. On the negative side, Leo can make us self-indulgent and the temptation to work negative or manipulative magick is strongest.

Moon in Virgo: (feminine, earth sign) A good time for spellwork concerning education, work environment, volunteerism, and health. Detailed spells and those worked for mental prowess, stability, and conscientiousness take deep root in Virgo. Mercury, Virgo’s ruling planet, is cerebral, while the Moon is emotional. This can be a source of conflict or harmony, depending on the desired outcome of your spell.

Moon in Libra: (masculine, air sign) Good for couples’ magick, peace, balance, promotion of fairness and justice, love magick, diplomacy, partnerships, and adaptability.

Moon in Scorpio: (feminine, water sign) Good time for divination and ritual, fertility and sex magick, personal promotion, and transformation. Matters pertaining to death, taxes, inheritances, deceit, trustworthiness, and hidden things are best dealt with now.

Moon in Sagittarius: (masculine, fire sign) Time to focus on issues of humanity, long-distance travel, in-laws, higher learning, religion, metaphysics, peace, and the right way of the Universe, experimental spells, and rituals. A good time to work for the more elusive things in your life.

Moon in Capricorn: (feminine, earth sign) A good time to deal with material concerns, such as business and career and also reputation. Concerns regarding honors and fathers should be addressed during this phase. Pessimism and despondency abound. Those prone to depression should avoid divination. Grounding rituals and centering spells work especially well. Past life work (and overcoming past negative influences) also are well dealt-with now.

Moon in Aquarius: masculine, air sign) Magick for world peace, friendship, aspirations, social groups, and political organizations is best undertaken now. Negatives: selfishness, air-headedness, thoughtless action, mind-wandering. A time when people tend to be inspired, ponder deeply, and become more acutely connected with their higher consciousness.

Moon in Pisces: (feminine, water sign) Highly psychic time. The perfect time to work on issues concerning karma, restrictions, and inner development. Try a method of divination which has always eluded you; this is typically a time when secrets come to light. Emotions can become cloudy and melancholy. Avoid doing protection spells unless you’re sure that you can avoid being manipulative. A good time to do spellwork for others, for dreamwork, astral projection, guided meditations, and lunar spellwork.
