To End a Love Affair

To End an Undesired Love Affair*

 1994 by Mareth SummerWind

Timing:
3 consecutive days (during the waning moon if at all possible)

Supplies Needed:

1 black candle
1 human-shaped candle of appropriate sex and colour each party involved.
Separation Incense

  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. vetivert
  • 1 tsp. catnip
  • 1 tsp. lavender

    Set-up:
place black candle in centre of Altar and put the human-shaped candles on either side of it.

    Instructions:

    • Light the black candle to represent the dispellation of the romantic bonds between the two parties and light charcoal block for incense if necessary.
    • On the first day, place the figure candles very close to the black candle and light them.
    • Sprinkle Separation Incense on the charcoal.
    • Think no bad intentions or thoughts about the unwanted lover. Concentrate, instead, on being free of the intentions of this person.
    • Repeat a phrase, such as:

"The spell that was spoken, I now undo.
Let what was once one be broken in two.
Let each heart be free to find its true mate.
Release these bonds without malice or hate."

    • Allow the candles to burn for at least 15 minutes, then snuff them out.
    • On the second and third nights, move the candles progressively farther apart
    • On the third night, declare the affair over and stop thinking about it.
    • Dispose of all 3 candle stubs.

*This should only be done in cases where the person casting the spell is involved in the affair. Under NO circumstances should it be used to manipulate others, especially not to break up a relationship of someone the spell-caster would like to pursue romantically!!!

CREDIT: My friend SilverStar gave me the idea for this spell when I asked him what I could do to end a relationship upon which I had unwisely cast a manipulative spell. My only "excuse" is that I was a very young and inexperienced Witch when I did the spell. The book from which I took the original love spell mentioned nothing about the Wiccan Rede or the Law of Three.
