Salvation is a Free Gift!

(Because Jesus Loves You!)

Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you. He wants to be your savior. He died some 2,000 years ago to pay for your sins and mine. He lives today and is STILL changing lives.

While we search for the XBox's, PS2's and Icicle lights and the other "perfect" gifts and trimmings this season, we are completely forgetting the gift that has already been given to us. So hear me out. The perfect gift this Christmas is that God sent his only son Jesus into the world to give us all eternal life.

There is a wonderful eternity in Heaven that awaits each one of us. The requirements for entry number but one. We must be perfect. (WHAT!?!?!?!) I'm not perfect either. We can only be made perfect by accepting a free gift. (WHAT!?!?! You mean I don't have to give anything in return?!?) I didn't say that. If you want to spend eternity in Heaven, say this simple prayer:

God, I come to you a sinner. I am not proud of the life I have led nor of what I have done. I come to you seeking to be made whole. I would ask that you fill me with your spirit, Lord. I would also ask that you forgive me of my sins. I accept your son, Jesus, as my personal savior and I want to lead the life you would have me lead. I ask this in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Now, wasn't that easy? It doesn't matter what you have done or whom you have wronged. God forgives all sin through his son Jesus Christ. That's not all there is though. To truly enter into a more fulfilling life, you must pray and pray often. God answers all Prayers -- the answer is not always 'Yes.' Seek the fellowship of others who have come to know Jesus. You'd be surprised how many there are.

If the sin that has kept you from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ seems overwhelming, know this: the Bible says that God will always give you a way to avoid sin when you are tempted. Look for a way out when you are tempted to sin. I myself am a sinner and do not presume to tell you how to live your life. All I know is that Jesus can help. For some more answers or pages to check out, check these out.

And just in case you think I'm full of it, ponder this thought: If you die tonight, where will you spend eternity?

God, Jesus, etc. -- (Hint, Hint) This is what it's all about!
