• mpg123 Win32 TERM_CONTROL Support Patch - (GPL) A patch to add Terminal Control to the Win32 version of mpg123. Uses conio calls if a console is detected, stdin otherwise. Requires the patch ( mpg123-0.59r-20001023.diff) by Takuro Horikawa.

• WinCtl - (GPL) A rewrite of David J. Biesack's WinCtl to version 1.2. Find the 1.1 here. Control windows on MS Windows. The update adds: the ability to parse hex-formatted window ID's, the addition of the asynchronous call to post the window message and exit, a 'winfo' command to return window state and geometry, and a rewrite of WinCtlw so that it compiles as a true windows app (not requiring whatever Emacs magic Mr. Biesack may have been using) and eliminates console output in WinCtlw. • gramofile cli - Modification of the GPL'ed Gramofile program. Makes two applications: findtracks and splitfile. Both command-line apps with switches for all options. Findtracks locates track breaks in audio files by sensing periods of relative quiet; splitfile actually breaks the audio file into segments based on the data from findtracks. Great for batch files. As a matter of fact, I used these utilities, along with the sh and tcl scripts below, to convert digital recordings of over 300 analog albums to mp3, complete with mp3 tags.
