Insect PowerPoint Assignment

Objectives:
to design an informational
PowerPoint presentation on an assigned insect.
Procedure:
You will have three class
periods in the computer room. If you need more time you must do it on your own.
Microsoft PowerPoint will be
used to complete this project.
All sources (pictures and
information) must be cited at the end of the presentation.
A minimum of three
educational resources must be used.

Requirements:

| Do all of the following:
1. Name and class period. 2. Common and scientific name of the insect 3. Photo/drawing 4. Geographic range (where the insect is found) 5. Type of metamorphosis. 6. Type of mouthparts. 7. Food source. |
Do all of the "C" items plus any three of the
items below:
1. Habitat 2. Special behaviors (societies, method of obtaining food, reproductive) 3. Effect on humans and/or the environment. 4. What state has your insect as its official state insect?

Do one of the items below plus all of the items in
"C" and "B"
1. Compose a poem about your insect. 2. Draw an image of your insect, scan it, and put it somewhere in your presentation. 3. Historical significance to human culture (myths, beliefs, events, disease, etc.).
