Clafoutis aux Cerises
250g  black cherries, stoned
2 tbs kirsch
100ml milk
100ml whipping cream
1/2 vanilla pot, or 2 drops vanilla essence
2 eggs
60g caster sugar
20g corn starch
a pinch of salt
butter and sugar forgreasing and sprinkling
Preheat oven 150c
If uding the Kirsch, sprinkle over the cherries and stir, Bring the milk , cream and vanilla to the boil. Turn off the heat and leave to infuse for a few mints.
  Place the eggs and the sugar in a mixing boul and whisk untill creamy.
Add the cornstarch and salt and whisk until smooth. Then strain in the vanilla milk, beating to amalgamate.
Generously butter the inside of the dish .
Add the cherries, then pour the batter mixture over the cherries.
Cook in the preheated oven for 25 mints. Remove, allow to cool until warm,and sotinkle over some powder sugar.
