SOFTWARE DEVELOPED BY OUR COLLEGE

                    Software development is the backbone for success in the

world.  Software is the key for introduction of IT in the fields of education

entertainment, commerce, medicine, industry, research and even human

relations.  The software development, which was worth hardly Rs.50

crores in 1997 in Tamilnadu, has gone up to Rs.500 crores in just two

years and it is bound to develop much faster, provided we can tune

ourselves to the new situation.

    In Shrimati Indira Gandhi College, the students have developed software for the assessment of the :

1) Capacity of the Mentally Retarded Children

2) As a teaching aid for DEAF and DUMP Children

These examples prove that with a greater thrust, the colleges in Tiruchi, could give a lead in software

development training to students of other college.

Moreover our college has widely helped in spreading the popularity of Computers to all fields of people.

3) the Deaf and Dump Children

4) the Mentally Retarded Children
