I hate to be so generic, but my storyline is pretty clicheed. It's your average, boy-meets-girl, boy-loses-girl, boy-finds-girl again story. You've read tons of other Nick Carter fanfictions with the same plot.
Hopefully, my story will stand out from those other fanfics you've read. Not to diss on anyone, but there are a lot of bad fanfics on the net. I don't want my story to be one of them. Therefore, I need your help. The only way I'll know if my story sucks is by feedback. Please feel free to send me anything. Ideas on where the story should go, compliments or disses on what I've already written. Tear apart my grammar: tell me where I should add commas or if I've made typos. Most importantly, I want my story to be historically correct. So if I've screwed up on some Backstreet trivia, call me on it.
For those of you who know me, yes, the main character's name is Melissa. But the character in the story is not me. I only gave her my name because there are a lot of nicknames sprung from it. So don't get us confused, despite any similarity we might have.
The story is not written in your average format. Each chapter takes place during a different place in Nick and Melissa's friendship, ranging from 1989 until 2002. Everything may not make sense at the beginning. But my intention is for the characters to slowly reveal themselves to the reader over several chapters. So if you're confused, keep reading. Hopefully, it'll make sense. If it doesn't, email me & I'll try to fix it.
