“Sugar, how much DID you have to drink tonight?” Melissa asked, as she maneuvered the hotel room door open with her hip.
“I don’t know… 5. Or 14. I don’t remember. Something with a six in it.”
“Sugar, you’re DRUNK.”
“Nah…” Nick shook off the comment with a wave of his hand. He held his thumb and his index finger close together, right in front of Melissa’s eyes. “Just a little bit tipsy.”
“If you were a just a little bit tipsy, then my little self wouldn’t have to practically carry your big self into the room.” Melissa said logically. It was a good thing one of them was sober. She kicked the door shut.
“Maybe you have a point,” Nick agreed. He collapsed onto a sofa, body parts spread all over the place.
“Want me to order you some coffee, to sober you up?” Melissa asked. She waved the room service menu in the air to attract his attention.
“Nah… could you just grab me a glass of water and some aspirin? That should do the trick.”
“I’ll jump on it.”
While Melissa buzzed around the room, getting things ready, Nick took the opportunity to get himself more comfortable. The expensive, designer clothes ended up in a crumpled ball on the floor. Nick found a blanket and cuddled up on the couch in just his boxers.
“Didn’t you just make yourself at home?” Melissa commented. She stood over Nick with a warm smile on your face.
“Its not home without you.” Nick was quite the drunken charmer. He reached out and pulled Melissa onto the sofa, and into his arms.
“Watch out, you’ll spill the water!” Melissa cautioned. She held the glass as far away from her fancy clothes as possible. There was no way she was ruining such a smoking outfit.
“Oh,” Nick realized, and stopped his wrestling. A cocky grin appeared on his lips. His hands reached out for the buttons on her shirt. “Maybe I should help you make yourself more comfortable.”
“Take this, you horn dog.” Melissa said as she handed him the items in her hands. “Then I’ll see what I can do about changing. Oh, and I brought you a Snickers from the mini bar. I figured you could use some food in your system.”
“You’re so good to me,” Nick murmured happily. “Why are you so good to me?”
Melissa smiled. “I’ve never seen you this drunk before. It’s almost endearing.”
“I’m not THAT drunk.” Insisted Nick’s stubborn side. “And you didn’t answer my question. Why are you so good to me?”
Melissa leaned down and kissed Nick’s forehead. “Making up for lost time, I guess.”
“I like it when you’re good to me,” Nick chattered. While Melissa moved around the room, locating more comfy clothes, Nick began happily munching away on his candy bar.
“I like being good to you too, sugar.” Melissa said in the same tone she would use with little children. Because sitting on the sofa in underwear, with a candy bar and a blanket, that’s exactly what Nick looked like.
“What are you doing?” Nick whined, as he watched Melissa beginning to unbutton her top.
“Changing into something more comfortable. Remember? You’re the one who suggested it?”
“But I wanted to help!” Nick pouted. “Undressing you. That’s my job now. Mine.”
Melissa laughed her way across the room with her pajamas in hand. “Well, I’m not undressed yet. You can finish the job.”
That was enough of an incentive to cause Nick to set his candy bar down. Their height difference lined up just close enough that with Melissa standing and Nick sitting, he was at the perfect position to assist in the undressing.
Nick’s hands moved to the buttons on Melissa’s top, attempting to unfasten them. Normally, Nick was super-smooth when it came to the ways of the bedroom. Because Lord knows he had enough practice. He was the type to unhook a bra with one hand, eyes closed. But after all those drink, the mojo was not working. When his uncoordinated fingers threatened to tear the sheer top, Melissa jumped back in horror.
“Oh, no you don’t!”
“I’ll buy you a new one!” Nick whined, knowing why she was angry.
“I don’t want a new one.” Melissa insisted. “I have a perfectly good one right now that I’m NOT going to let you ruin.”
“You’re so mean to me,” Nick pouted.
“After you just got through complementing me for taking care of you,” Melissa reminded.
“Oh yeah,” said Nick, with a sheepish, drunken grin.
“Can you at least change the dancer way?” Nick asked, dreamily imagining a sultry lapdance/striptease.
“Absolutely,” Melissa agreed. She unbuttoned the sheer top first, leaving her in the leather triangle top and miniskirt. A silky nightgown slid over her head, enabling Melissa to discard all remaining clothes without showing skin. It was the secret tip dancers used backstage to avoid flashing the entire world.
“Not that dancer way!” Nick moaned. “You love Britney. Don’t you know that hot strip tease she did at the VMAs a few years back? That was damn sexy.”
“Britney?” Melissa questioned, as she quickly stepped out of her heels. “I thought I was the girl for you.”
Melissa stood up, and the silky nightgown fell into place for the first time. It was a deep plum color, with lace trimming the deep plunge between her breasts and the hem that fell just short of her rear end.
“You’re pretty,” Nick cooed.
Melissa giggled, and moved to his lap. She held his head near either ear, pulling her face closer to her own. “So are you.”
“This isn’t what you usually wear,” Nick commented, thinking of the cute camisole and panty sets Melissa normally slept in.
“You complaining?” Melissa asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Not at all,” Nick said with a shake of his head. His eyes trailed down Melissa’s body, eyeing the ample amount of bare flesh revealed.
“Up here, sugar.” Melissa directed Nick’s gaze back to her face. “I just figured this was our first real trip together together. And I figured it was deserving of something a little more special.”
“I think I love the way your brain works,” Nick said in a low voice. His hands were moving all over Melissa’s body, searching for a way to get her out of the outfit he loved so much.
“But first things first,” Melissa commanded. As hard as it was, she found herself pushing Nick away slightly.
“What?” Nick groaned, still pawing from a distance.
“You, sugar, have a date with Mr. Toothbrush. I don’t kiss boys with alcohol on their breath. You know I hate the way beer tastes.”
“You forget I’m not a boy anymore,” Nick growled, leaning in closer. “I’m all man.”
Melissa withheld her laughter, knowing Nick was trying to be sexy. What he didn’t understand was that it was the times when he wasn’t trying at all that he was the most sexy. “Not tonight. Tonight, you’re acting like you’re about eight years old.”
Nick sighed. He found his way to his feet and began making his way to the bathroom. He knew Melissa well enough to know when she would and would not give up. This wasn’t the time to push her. “Doesn’t that make you some sort of pedophile?”
“Probably, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.” Melissa had followed Nick into the bathroom. She loved the plush toilets of fancy hotels, and took a seat on one while Nick brushed his teeth. “Its weird how we’ve known each other for so long, and this is the first time I’ve seen you really drunk.”
“I’m not that drunk!” Nick insisted. But with the alcohol in his system, and toothpaste in his mouth, the words came out quite slurred. Luckily for Melissa, she was fluent in gibberish. Nick spat out the contents of his mouth to continue on the conversation. “Besides, I’ve been trying to cut down on excessive drinking since AJ went to rehab.”
“I’m glad for you.” Melissa commented sincerely. “Its probably a good thing.”
“You know, that could have easily been me in there with Jay,” Nick confessed.
“I know, sugar.” Melissa stood up, rubbing Nick’s bare back affectionately. “And I’m glad it wasn’t.”
