| Pattern I used: c.f.. www.knitting.about.com/library/bljuliahat.htm For Small to Mediun size. Yarn: Main colour 1 oz Colour A, B and C - little bit each Needle: 4 1/2" needles Started with 72 sts of Main Colour. *Knit 1 row, purl 1 row - repeat * 2 times. Purl 1 row. *Knit 1 row, purl 1 row - repeat * 2 times. Change to colour A - knit 2 rows. Change to colour B - knit 2 rows. Change to colour A - knit 2 rows. Back to main colour - *knit 1 row, purl 1 row - repeat * 2 times. Change to colour C - knit 2 rows. Back to main colour - *knit 1 row, purl 1 row - repeat * 1 time. Change to colour B - knit 2 rows. Change to colour C - knit 2 rows. Change to colour B - knit 2 rows. Back to main colour - knit 2 rows. k4, *k2tog, k7, rep * 7 times, k2tog, k3. (64 sts) Purl 1 row. Change to colour A - knit 2 rows. k3, *k2tog, k6, rep * 7 times, k2 tog, k3. (56 sts) Purl 1 row. K2, *k2tog, k5, rep * 7 times, k2tog, k3. (48 sts) Purl 1 row. K2, *k2tog, k4, rep * 7 times, k2tog, k2. (40 sts) Purl 1 row. K1, *k2tog, k3, rep * 7 times, k2 tog, k2. (32 sts) P1, *p2 tog, p2, rep 7 times, k2tog, p1. (24 sts) K1, *k2tog, rep * 7 times. (16 sts) *K2tog, rep * 7 times. (8sts) Cut yarn and draw through remaining 8 sts. Sew the sides up. |
