Every time he would come around she would bury her face in Mom or Dad's shoulder and start to cry. The good news was that as soon as we were in the safety zone of Jeff's office she was her charming self and could deal with his co-workers on a one by one basis. After that we took the tour around Tech and those who I used to work with and then over to see Paul who also works close to campus. Then a quick romp in the park was followed by tumbling. At tumbling they played for awhile then dressed up for pictures and a party. We then ran home to greet Jeff's Uncle Del. He took a detour on his way home to visit us and a grumpy little skunk. McKayla did start to warm up and recover from her big Halloween about the time he had to leave the next morning.
We took a quick trip on Veterans weekend to Durango. The highlight of the trip was meeting cousin Brock Fassett, just a week old. McKayla had a good time holding and kissing him - he was a good little sport and put up with all the "loves". She is still talking about him "getting sad" when Aunt Kali changed his diaper and happy when eating. Congrats on a gorgeous baby boy Brad and Kali!
The holidays are coming. We can't wait to see everyone. 'Till then - Enjoy the Pictures.

McKayla loves books, she really always has but books have come to the forefront this month. We are going through about 10 library books a week along with her bookshelf of regulars. The other big thing to do this month is play on PBS Kids website. She has learned to navigate, so she bounces around from Teletubbies to Sesame Street to Clifford without blinking an eye. Plus we have had really nice fall weather so we have been spending afternoons outside.
McKayla has made the connection between my growing tummy and the ultrasound appointment to "Baby Sister". The news really isn't on the top of her list but every once in a while she will give sister a hug.
Halloween was a big day for us. We first went to Jeff's office for a potluck and party. McKayla had a rough time with all the people who were dressed up, specifically a guy who was dresses up as an alien. He was covered in little mirrors and would not leave her alone even though she would tell him to go away. |
