| The strategic theme enables an individual to sort through the clutter and find the best route. It is not a skill that can be taught. It is a distinct way of thinking, a special perspective on the world at large. This perspective allows the individual to see patterns where others simply see complexity. Mindful of these patterns, they play out alternative scenarios, always asking, "What if this happened? Okay, well what if this happened?" This recurring question helps them to see around the next corner. There the individual can evaluate accurately the potential obstacles. Guided by where they see each path leading, they start to make selections. They can discard the path that leads to nowhere, the paths that lead straight into resistance and avoid the paths that lead into a fog of confusion. Strategic individuals cull and make selections until they arrive at the chosen path-their strategy. Armed with this strategy, they strike forward. This is their Strategic theme at work: "What if?" | My use of logic will enable me to find creative and effective ways to present new material to my class. I will use my "strategic" strength in teaching to help me understand situations and find effective solutions to over come obstacles. The career of teaching would allow me to be a leader and voice my ideas to my students in the hope of creating that spark of interest in each of them. | |||||||||||||||||
