| The Achiever theme helps explain an individual's drive. The term achiever describes a constant need for achievement. Achievers feel as though the day starts at zero. By the end of the day they must achieve something tangible in order to feel good about themselves. By "everyday" that means every single day,(workdays, weekends, vacations etc.). No matter how much they may feel they deserve rest, if a day passes without some sort of achievement, no matter how small, they feel dissatisfied. Achievers have an internal fire burning inside them. It pushes them to do more, achieve more. After each accomplishment is reached, the fire dwindles for a moment, but very soon it rekindles itself, forcing them toward the next accomplishment. Achievers constant need for achievement might not be logical or even focused, but it is always with them. An achiever must learn to live with discontent, but it does have its benefits. It brings the energy to work the long hard hours they need without burning out. It is the jolt they can always count on to get started on new tasks, new challenges. It is the power supply that causes them to set the pace and defne the levels of productivity for their work group. Achiever is the theme that keeps them moving! | |||||||||||||||||

| Achiever is a strength that can be used to it's full potential by pursuing a career in teaching. This facet of my personality would be nourished each day by working in an environment that is challenging and would allow me to excel as an individual. Each day my success would be measured by my students and their grasp of the content I will be teaching. In teaching your rewards directly corelate to the amount of work you put into it, not necessarily in monetary value but in the growth of your students and the impact on their lives. That being said this career would allow me to use my "Achiever" strength to work hard and exceed the expectations of my students and their families. | |||||||||||||||||
