"...now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation." 2Cor6:2

The Chilando Family to Zambia

The Lord called us to be missionaries to Zambia while attending a missions conference at Independent Baptist Church of Bolingbrook, Illinois.

After surrendering to the call I decided to enroll in Bible Seminary and henceforth moved to Festus, Missouri. We then became members of Second Baptist Church of Festus, were I worked on Brother Leonard Himes staff part-time, and taught in christian school. It is here that the Lord matured us in His word and confirmed the call to missions.

It is because of this urgency to reach the lost souls of Zambia that we believe it was the Lords will for us to stay with Bro. Himes as the Lord called him to Pastor Hillcrest Baptist Church of El Paso, Tx. It is through Hillcrest Baptist Church that we have been sent to fullfill the Great commission as is commanded of us by the Lord.

I was born and raised in Zambia Africa and therefore very aquainted with the land and the people. Zambian people are very religious and open to any new religious idiologies. It is because of this openness that islam and hinduism have seen a spike in their following. One in Five Zambians is HIV Positive cutting the life expectancy 35yrs. Also Zambians average $1.50 a day, this makes them among the poorest in the world. Due to poverty and disease most folks are turning to any religion for help. This pauses a grave danger, for many have been led astray in false religions. We must needs go and share the gospel with these folks, planting New Testament Independent Fundament Baptist local churches and discipling new converts. I would like to encourage you to partner with us while there is yet still time, to reach the Zambian people with the Gospel. We greatly appreciatiate your prayer and consideration.

By Gods grace, Martin, Jennifer, Gabriella, Hannah and Isaiah. 1Cor 15:58 1
