My Biography
I was born Michael Edward Aston on May 15, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to William M. (Bub) Aston and Lois M. Herberger Aston. I was raised in a small suburb of Tulsa, in a home that was built by my parents. I have two brothers, Thomas (Tom), and William M. Jr. (Bill), and a sister Linda. All of us were into sports and music from early ages. I attended Burbank Elementary, Bell Jr. High, Will Rogers High School in Tulsa where I was involved in Baseball, Football, and Wrestling. At Rogers I was the leading hitter on the baseball team. I was all-conference, and all-city as a fullback on the roper football team, and selected as a second team all-state  fullback. I received all-conference, all-city awards in wresting at the heavyweight rank, and later took 3rd place in the state tournament held in Edmond Oklahoma. Close to graduation, I was named outstanding athlete of the year.   After being recruited by 15 Universities and Colleges in the country, I signed a full scholarship at S.W. Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. Majoring in Pre-med and playing football and wrestling as a freshman was a little too much for me and my grades suffered terribly. My second year was all studies, as I attended N.E. Oklahoma A&M Jr College in Miama, Oklahoma. There I played roles in three major college productions, "All the way home", "You can't take it with you", and the all-time favorite musical "Oklahoma".  My 3rd through 5th years, I went back to S.W. Missouri State. I majored in Music, Theater, Physical Ed, and Business. I helped form the 1st chapter at SMS of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on the campus. I won 1st place in the SMS Invitational Judo Tournament as a brown belt 190 weight class. I was selected 1st team all-conference middle linebacker in football. In wresting, I won 1st place in the conference championship at 190 lbs. One week later, I dropped to the 177 lb weight class to wrestle in the National College Championships, in Ashland, Ohio  to lose to the top seed in the 1st round of the competition. Later that same year, I competed in the Olympic Wresting Trials in Stillwater Oklahoma and lost.   After college I re-united with family in New Orleans, Louisiana where I came to try out with the New Orleans Saints as middle linebacker. After being rejected there, I traveled thoughout the midwestern states for the next 7 1/2 years as an entertainer (played the 12 string guitar, a singer, stand-up comedian, and impressionist) in many clubs, lounges, and resorts.   Later I moved back to New Orleans, the last 20 years I have worked for 3 major companies in the Greater New Orleans area, and I am currently working in the casino business. I am married to my wife Patricia (Pat) and have 2 Grandchildren C.J. & Hali.
