I was  born  and  raised  in   Melbourne,  Australia.  Today,  I  live  in  Brisbane,
Queensland,  mainly  for  the tropical climate.  It's a great place to be.  I  am  48  years
young   and  the  mother  of  three  young  adults.   I  have  always  had  a  passion  for
literature,  books  are a wealth  of enjoyment  and information if you  make them your
friends.  As  a  child,  I  loved  to  read  and I  also loved  to write  and  draw.
When  I  was a teenager,  my imagination was overflowing with intriguing stories,  poems and  plays  just waiting to come alive with the assistance of paper and ink.  I  would  conjure up images  of the characters that lived  within  those  stories  clearly  in  my  mind  and  I  would  draw  them...getting  to  know  your  characters  is extremely beneficial to the creation  of  a  good  story.   My  friends  and  teachers  believed that  I  would either  become  a  writer  or   an   artist  one  day.   Both  my   English   and   Art   teachers   consistently encouraged  me to  pursue my creative talents.
Sometimes,  during  the course of one's life,  expectations for the future don't always travel along the   path  we  hoped  they  would  take.   For  many  years  my creative  dreams  were  replaced  by   the activities of day to day living,  and it  wasn't until  a few  years ago  that the creativity  inside me bubbled forth  and  I  began  my  creative  journey  once  again.
As I had only ever written short stories,   essays and plays in the past,  writing  my  first novel  has been  a major feat  for me.  Currently,  I am in the process of revising it in the hope of it being published. I also have a half-written  sequel waiting in the wings.  Poetry is another love of mine,  and I have written quite a number of poems which I have posted here on my site.  I hope you enjoy the ones that you choose to read.
Art  in its many forms  is a wonderful gift.  Whether it be writing,  reading, drawing & painting  or acting,  dance & music,  it is the creativity inside each one of us that  brings  each  of  these  art forms to life.  I  believe  that  we all  have  creativity  dwelling  inside  us...the way  to  tap  into  that  very  special resource  is  to  reach  into  your  heart  and connect with your soul.  When you have done that,  then my advice to you is to pursue your creative passion...you never know where it may lead you.
