Love, Honour & Cherish
The vows we made on our wedding day
To love and cherish you proclaimed
You promised to take care of me
But have broken my spirit in this fallacy

I entrusted you with my love, my life
That is why I became your wife
But once the ring was on my finger
Your attentive manner no longer lingered

We appeared to be happy and in love
No one aware of what you were capable of
Fear replaced love, pain replaced joy
Happiness gonewas it all just a ploy?

You bruised my body and also my heart
Driving a wedge, tearing us apart
I kept your secret, I paid my dues
ButI will no longer be abused!
