| April 1, 2003 Dear Friends and Family, Hey there! Well, here's the latest and greatest from our family: Jayna, now 5 months, has started to get more control over her little hands, grasping at whatever comes into her view and pulling it toward her mouth. She is no longer sleeping well at night. Between the ages of 2 and 3 months she was actually sleeping 4 hours at a time and even through the night on occasion, but not anymore! Lately it's been really bad - 2 hours at the most. Mommy hopes this is just a growth spurt, and nothing else. We've been trying to get her to take a bottle so her nursing can be supplemented, but thus far she flat-out refuses. But she is still a very content little baby, and has a smile for anyone and everyone who will give her time of day! Check out her latest photos on her page! Nothing too much new with Spencer (4). He is still crazy about his little sister. He's itching to spend more time outdoors now that the weather's finally getting a little better now. He really enjoyed our recent trip to Saskatchewan visiting is Grandma, Granddad, auntie Melinda and Uncle John and cousins. He missed Papa Steve who had to work that whole week. He's now put together family relations, and during the whole trip called Grandma "Daddy's Mom" and Grandad "Daddy's Dad", and Melinda "Daddy's sister" instead of "Grandma, Grandad, and Auntie. It was quite cute. He enjoys playing "Aladdin's Activity Center" on the computer. It has lots of games and drawing activities for preschoolers. Joey (2), is doing great. He has started to draw nice pictures and is even now playing on the computer too! It's hard to believe that at this young they can maneover a mouse! Amazing how they can pick up things like that so easily. He enjoys watching Disney movies that we've been borrowing from friends - everything from Lion King to Mickey Mouse. Joey is in the midst of potty training right now and is doing great! We are so proud of him! Amy has decided to learn a new hobby. She is halfway through crocheting an afghan and is really enjoying it! She appreciated getting crocheting advice and pointers from Michael's mom, Marlene, while we were in Saskatchewan. Michael, enjoyed himself on our latest trip to Saskatchewan, his old stomping grounds. (As we all did.) He did a bit of snow-mobiling, pulling the kids in a sleigh-trailer, took the kids swimming a few times, and enjoyed the getaway from the daily grind at work. The week went too fast as usual. Well that's the news for now! Check back again! Love, Michael, Amy, Spencer, Joey and Jayna |
