Hypothesis

In a circuit the resistor restricts current and turns it into heat. Thus when the resistor is subjected to the shorting currents it will turn them into heat and overheat until it fails. Using the 2 types of resistors and measuring their temperature increase through time I will be able to tell when and how they failed, and I will be able to tell what their average failing temperatures are.
